He has the worst ever own goal to game ratio in the Premier League for players that have played at least 38 games. He’s 23rd overall for the most own goals in the Premier League. He’s also one of only six players to concede an own goal and penalty in the same game. Quite the feat considered he only made 55 PL appearances.

    Trevor Philips.
    Ian Hesford
    Lee Bracey
We signed plenty of mercenaries when we were in the Prem and the years following it. So many and so bad that I cannot even remember their names.
    Ghilas for example?

    Your going off own goals?
That’s as irrelevant as saying Myhill was a terrible keeper when he conceded 5 against Wigan or 6 against Liverpool in our first 2 seasons in the PL!

Here's some other terrible players who’ve conceded the most own goals in football!

Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Personally, my memories of watching Zayatte where of a player who looked wholly uncomfortable playing the sport. Every time he headed the ball it felt like it would end up in our goal.

I get the opinion, but he’s the worst player you could think of?

I’ve also mentioned others and was thinking of someone that wouldn’t be one of the obvious names.

Lee Bracey - the only man who was seemingly sent off in more games than he played.

Absolutely. Against Bolton, it looked there was a good partnership between him and Altidore to move us forward. Barely saw them together again after that

Tony Finnegan worth a mention. Didn't he turn out to be a bit of a prick too?

Players like Jon French stunk the place out in the dark days but did we really expect any more from them?

But Ian Hesford. Jesus. To go from Tony Norman to that...

When he moved to centre back I always remember hearing him on the radio coming out with the immortal phrase "it's easier to destroy than to create"!
