Using that logic, then, we should demand that Starmer holds a new General Election as only 59.8 per cent of the registered electorate voted and the 33.7 per cent Labour victory was only 20.2 per cent of available votes. The moralising Left never get it. Almost everywhere that the Left is in power it is by coalition of their various factions. The Right tend to coalesce under a single banner. As the Conservatives stopped being conservative in the UK that created a void that Reform is now filling – and they won’t be having a new EU Referendum.
