There seems to be some evidence that supports the theory.

When I see the Remoaners grumbling at Starmer that he should hold a new EU Referendum to get back on the sinking ship, the argument that they use is that the original was not legitimate on the grounds that only 72.2 per cent of the registered electorate voted and the 51.9 per cent Leave victory was only 37.5 per cent of available votes.

Using that logic, then, we should demand that Starmer holds a new General Election as only 59.8 per cent of the registered electorate voted and the 33.7 per cent Labour victory was only 20.2 per cent of available votes.

The moralising Left never get it. Almost everywhere that the Left is in power it is by coalition of their various factions. The Right tend to coalesce under a single banner. As the Conservatives stopped being conservative in the UK that created a void that Reform is now filling – and they won’t be having a new EU Referendum.

 

No sense of humour on the Left, especially in parts of the country where the football team got a drubbing yesterday in the Midlands and the main source of income for school girls seems to be from pleasuring old sailors.
