with the benefit of replays it was not a stonewaller, we have seen them given but i never thought it was to be honest, replay confirmed that to me.
Need to find form and fast or we settle in for the playoffs. Echo the sentiment with Roberts I'm afraid. The team has improved around him and he's not only a weak link but he's also a detraction from the balance of the team in attack. Think we need better in this window if we want to go up through the playoffs.
It looked at the time like he clattered him but I'll take your word for it. Don't think there were many protests from our players.
Got to admit that I feel down after that result, after being on a high after Hull beat Sheffield United. I'm sure the team will be smarting and picking the bones out of where we went wrong. The lack of cutting edge has reared its head sometimes over the season and did again. We looked very classy in possession in the first half without possessing the tools or ideas to create a lot. Credit to Plymouth for a very effective performance.
Ironic that you post this. I think he was poor today. Him and Jobe’s worst games this season. But I think it was because of the change of position. Salis looked tidy on the ball mostly. Looks a good player, but his game today imo was detrimental to the team. I didn’t say that before kick off as I didn’t know. But hindsight, as always, is a wonderful thing! Cumbrian mentioned about the number of experts we have after a game! All seemingly knew the line up was wrong, yet none complained about it. My issue, as I mentioned above, was it about that, more about the tactics. We were rubbish at 0-0. Good after they scored until our second, then went to try to see it out. Really poor from le Bris imo.
. We'll get automatic promotion no worries. You'll still be whinging next season when we're in the premier League
I think I'm in the minority here, but I think Samed did absolutely nothing of note. Plenty of very simple passes and showing for possession which is such a basic way to play that role. Dan Neil brings so much more to that position. He can do all of that and be creative. He's more positive on the ball, can dictate the tempo of the game and he's not afraid to carry it too if he sees the space open up in front of him. It's night and day for me.
Early days for a comparison like that. Thinking is probably that Samed is better at breaking up play and protecting the defence than Neil. While Neil pushed further forward can contribute more to the team going forwards with his passing and vision. Will take a run of games to know whether that's right or wrong I guess.
I get he may have wanted minutes into Samed....thats fine, he should have told neil or jobe their sitting this one out as he needs Samed up to speed, change should have come by removing one of our more forward players...simple as that
Just my opinion, but he's the negative on the coaching side. Could see him on the touchline at 2-1 Huge, huge gaps in midfield. Especially 2nd half
Even the extended highlights doesn’t show the Mayenda penalty decision. I was one who thought it was a clear penalty at the time , but the lad next to me didn’t.
Good post. I am still raging to be honest. I felt some players didn't but a good enough shift in and become complacent. Through ELF was one of them. RLB went park the bus again and paid the price again. Sams as Coventry, Millwall and many others. The selection at the start was wrong. His subs were wrong. Plymouth missed some unbelievable chances and hit the inside of the post.
Can you actually guarantee it or are you misusing that word to make a point? Because it feels a lot like the latter.
Given the fact he a professional athlete, there is no reason why he should be out every weekend, swanning about Newcastle living the high life on vip tables.
