Not read anything, still at the game. KWPs last game based on the way he was after the final whistle.
It has, and it's taken until now for Solak to step in and make major changes. He made minor ones, moving Ankersen away to Goztepe, but he's now wielding the axe properly, and rightly so. We need to see how this plays out. Once he has the right leadership team in place (and let's hope that's Spors, Rohl etc) then we'll see movement in the right direction.
I will give them to the end of the season, but somehow the board Solak put in place at the outset have contrived to create the worst team in the history of Southampton FC. Yes, he’s making changes, but they are far too late.
Awful. Everything about this club is awful. Run by muppets. Players pathetic. Absolute ****ing disgrace
I'm actually quite happy that SR have accepted we're down and have resisted the urge to make pointless and expensive panic buys like last time. Just got to see out this season and move on in the summer.
I’d give them two more seasons. Get us back up, then show some more sense in the transfer market once we come back to the VAR hellscape.
Personally, I'm not sure how people can keep giving SR chance after chance to be honest. They ****ed us over 2 years ago. They've ****ed us over even harder this season. I don't want to give them another chance to redeem themselves and **** my club over even more. I've given them another chance, and they've ****ed it twice as hard. Once bitten, twice shy and all that. Fresh start please, get them all gone.
Rules question: Is offside adjudged when the player first starts to touch the ball forward or when the ball has fully left contact? Might sound pedantic as the whole thing will happen quickly, but in the frame used today, the ball was clearly away from McCarthy's foot making me wonder the specifics of the rule. As an extreme example of my question, I guess a player could roll the ball down their chest, along a leg and then flick it forward. I would assume the decision about offside occurred after the player no longer had contact with the ball.
Exactly what VAR is for Today.. Two correct calls of two big decisions. Good luck for the rest of the season
Because we have an owner that cares, that is willing to spend money, and is willing to make changes until he gets it right. Give me that over Chansiri types every day of the week.
