Odegaard out. Saliba surprisingly back in the XI, wasn't expecting that. Lewis-Skelly back too. Nwaneri in the middle, I likee that.

This is a better and well-balanced team than I expected.

More than enough quality to win this comfortably on paper.

Our bench is a serious worry, mind. Two GKs, two LBs, two LCBs, 1 winger, 1 geriatric CM and a kid. Lols.

How the **** was that a red ****ing card!!!!! Sorry, but that is the most rubbish decision by the Ref and VAR I have seen for years!

How can anyone think thats a fair decision?

You know it's bullshit when they have to go on and on about how it is technically a red card 'under the letter of the law'. But just omit the part that challenges like that happen 20+ times in every ****ing match.

We've not lost or drawn a match this Season where there hasn't been a WEIRD refereeing decision go against us.

    100% Agree!

There is a ****ing agenda against AFC, no matter whether you are a hardcore supporter or not! To me it all goes back to the time wasting yellow cards which were also bullshit considering the amount of times other teams do exactly that! No different to today's decision! I blame ****ing VAR for not having the balls to rule the game as it should be ruled, sick and tired of this constant bullshit!

****ing Michael Oliver making a ****ty decision against us again. Seriously, Arteta needs to go in on him at full-time. He should not be refereeing our matches ever again. He's a ****ing disgrace. And how have VAR validated that decision?! <doh>. Useless idiots.

I'm not one who likes to make excuses or looks at referees, but that decision to send Lewis-Skelly off is an abomination. Just sheer and utter incompetence that can never be challenged because they punish anyone who speaks out against them.

    BBC: Ian Dennis
BBC Radio 5 Live senior football reporter

The Premier League Match Centre have confirmed Myles Lewis-Skelly was sent off for serious foul play.

C'mon! It was a cynical foul, no more no less! This **** happens in EVERY GAME and everytime, no more than a yellow! High studs my arse!

This is the same referee who refused to send off Kovacic at The Emirates after two terrible challenges on Rice and Odegaard because 'he didn't want to ruin the game'. The guy is a ****ing bozo. I'm not even joking, Arteta needs to crucify him in the post-match presser. **** the punishment, just make sure Oliver is never in charge of our games again.

The worst part is I guarantee we'll never see a red card like that ever again.

That has got to be one of the worst refereeing decisions I’ve ever seen.

You’ll never see another red for that again

    Ever

    He’s a ****.

Always trying to make a name for himself instead of just referring the game according to the rules.

    Poor poor referee

Here we go, again from the BBC... this sums up how this decision was a joke!

How was Skelly's tackle FULL + FORCEFUL? Did he stamp, did he slide in? No! It was more of a clip/tap. I'd be ****ing happy if AFC downed tools on this one!

Premier League Match Centre have confirmed the straight red card was for "serious foul play".

On the Premier League website, external regarding serious foul play it states: "High + Full + Forceful contact on ankle or above is considered dangerous = Red card"

I've just seen a replay of it. It gets more and more scandalous the more I watch it. And Oliver had a good view of it too.

    ****ing embarrassing.

Yep! Serious foul play, how? For above the ankle, no intent to play the ball??? This happens in EVERY GAME! no more than a yellow on every other occassion!
1st half I recall a Wolves player hacking Rice down across the shin just outside the box, how is that any different based on what happened!
Now I've just seen a Wolves player waste time and kick a ball away, whilst on a yellow, anything happen? No!

Ahh 10 v 10.. now the game becomes even again! COYG!!!

However, look at Gome's foul, it should have been a straight RED, but was deemed a 2nd yellow by the **** Ref and VAR! Just rubbing salt into the wound!!

Anyway lets win this ****in game!

    FT. 0-1.

    Get in. Huge win.

Was really fearing for us when we went down to 10 (unjustly), and Oliver even bottled giving Joao Gomes a straight red (gave him a 2nd yellow). It wasn't the smoothest performance but we did well to stay in the game and Calafiori came up clutch with a lovely half-volley.

Great stuff <ok>. Still don't think we win the league at all, but at least we're just about hanging in there.

Declan Rice, what a performance. An absolutely behemoth in the middle of the park.
