A lot of static on the airways tonight of some big news incoming. I would suspect it is news of Dunnes new contract...any other gossip going around?
Burnley have signed Jonjo Shelvey and have offered £5m to Plymouth for Whittaker..... Can't believe Shelvey is only 32, seems to have been around for donkey's years..... and they re-signed Barnes from Norwich..... Blades have resigned Brereton-Diaz and looking to sign Tom Cannon from Leicester for £10m after they recalled him from his Stoke loan..... That'll give them even more fire power for the automatic's..... The haves and have nots.....
But none of those are currently PL standard. They’ll have to spend again in the summer if they make it….
Lot of silly nonsense on Twitter re Taarabt. I don't see Nourry buying this sentimental approach at all and nor should he, we know it rarely ever works (see our last manager). We are finally a forward thinking club now it would be mad to change that.

So if they offered us real money for Dunne who is in the last few months of his contract I suspect we would have to take it They only want him NOW as they have lost their regular CD who was a loan anyhow, to injury. So surely Dunne and his team would realise that if he moved...( pro... he would have a good wage but con he wouldn't be playing regularly next season as they would buy someone and he loves playing). Just having him around the place would put a dampner on the team's spirit and as for Dunne going to Sheff Utd, we'd be muppets to sell our talisman just as we're on our best run for God knows how long. We need to give him a new contract and show some ambition , and really have a go at getting into the play-offs. It could be a long time before we're playing like this and winning , comes around again ! U rrrrr's

They should tie down Dunne as a priority and offer to make him club captain. Cook is great but he’s professional enough to understand why Dunne is vital for us going forward.
Is Field captain at the moment without Cook? Don’t see the need to change that or it being a big factor for Dunne staying or not. Love the bloke and agree he merits being one of the higher earners at his age, experience and level of performance but if I’m him/his agent I’m thinking free transfer to a Sheff U/Burnley kind of club with all the financial rewards that brings, unfortunately. The rumour mill kids on Twitter were saying it was signed a couple of weeks ago but fear the worst if we’re nearly into Feb and there’s no update.
He's one of the first on the teamsheet here, he'd be a squad player at best at the Blades and less so if they go up. In the end they can always pay more but he'd play a lot less. We should have got his contract sorted in the summer...
I think we gave him one year last year. Obviously in hindsight an error but such was our swanky plan to take the division by storm with champagne football led by our future Cafu Brazilian wonderkid dominating games from full-back.
Surely something can be done to terminate his contract. How is it that in any other trade you can be sacked for non performance.
