Wondered if it would be our final loan slot. Play left whilst Mundle and Watson are out, and play up front when they are back as competition/rotated with Isidor. Philogene will play left for Ipswich now.
, hopefully he doesn't leave, but I have faith in the club to have a replacement ready, the club is ran so professionally now that all Enjoyed watching clarke when he played for us, but I wouldn't want him back ,better options in mundle and Watson when fit
I was told 6 months ago that the player is making a play to get a premier league contract from the club, he wants to stay here and so long as we pay him, he will stay.
think we all loved JC and relied on him too much, but as its been said, we look a better attacking team without him, teams havent got us figured out, with Watson and Mundle to come back we will be firing on the left flank, rather focus on a striker and a new FB CB so we take LoN out of the team, ( he is the weakest link at the back imo)
I may be in a minority of one, but I'd happily forgo a striker signing this January if the club was able to use that space to secure a new contract for Neil and Cirkin
No player is bigger than the club, if they want to go, let them, rather have players that want to be here than not.
He’s so important to our promotion bid I think I’d rather take the hit on a potential fee and let him go in the summer should we not get over the line this season
I see Marcus Edwards has just changed agents and is looking to come back to England. Everton have been linked, but could he be an option for us?
I think for Dan Neil it’s not a case of not wanting to be here, it’s wanting what he believes he’s worth. Nothing wrong with that imo. I would wish him nothing but the best if he got a PL move though.
Got to trust the club, I suppose. I would love us to agree a new contract with Dan but not at the expense of upsetting the wage structure / other players. If West Ham or Everton get to the required level of bid then I think we should pull the trigger. Put the money towards other needs. Dan would be a big miss but we could just about cope in midfield without him.
He signed a deal in March 2023 and is on £7-9k a week, which was during our first season back in the Championship, he is looking for £25k and up now and we won't go there until we're in the Premiership.
Watson a better option than Clarke? Not a chance right now. Not that it matters anyway, Clarke won’t be returning
My opinion remains the same on selling players. If the club feels like selling a player would mean we end the window in a better place than when we started it then we should do it. It's all about the fee and the reinvestment of it.
I agree but within reason.. we aren’t a PL club yet - can we afford what he thinks he’s worth? Our fans slated Stewart calling him a greedy c**t etc for the same thing
