Perhaps one practical idea is to install safe standing. It wouldn't make a huge difference in the north where we all stand anyway, but do it in the north end of the East stand as well and maybe that will stimulate more noise from that section as welp as the north stand.
Good point about whose remit these issues come under - what happened to the regular meetings between club and supporters' groups? IIRC the Official SC delegates tended to be a waste of space but these are huge issues and are probably best addressed by supporter's groups, or at least fans who have the long term interests of the club in mind.
The location of the away fans is an issue that never goes away. I can understand the logic both ways of where they've been moved in the past, but ultimately they always end up still attacking towards their own end in the second half and celebrating with them as someone else pointed out.
I feel the problem in part must be that the club, team and fans know there is a problem. It inevitably adds pressure which contributes to us not winning at home which then adds to the pressure in a self-fulfilling cycle.
updated home form table how shocking is this? our home form is going to have to change big time for us to stay up please log in to view this image
If the pitch gets any worse, which is highly likely (even inevitable), can we apply to play our home games somewhere else, like say York? At least 2 benefits - they would no longer feel like home games, plus they'd have a decent surface to play on. As the table shows our home form is beyond poor. It's amazing that our crowds have held up, and no wonder the atmosphere is crap.
as fans, we really need to get behind the players for the stoke game we cant wait for the players to do something its a huge game
the atmosphere at home games as been poor for most of the season I sit in e4 and a few try to get songs going then it just peters out ,needs the away fans moving back into the North stand and having the full east stand back to home fan's
Well, the West Stand Upper rep said on the Facebook Forum when some asked why we haven’t got safe standing as a lot of clubs have installed it asked the poster didn’t he realise that grounds were all seater and most people wanted to sit down? It was also said, can’t remember if it was him or someone else, when lack of noise in West Stand was mentioned that if people want to make a noise they should go in the North Stand with the riff raff. Another one on there said he was glad that the tickets were expensive at QPR as it would put off the obnoxious (his word) persistent standers who make a noise and spoil his enjoyment of the game. With reps and fans like these no wonder there is no atmosphere.
Perhaps someone should get him a season pass to Tigers+ and a VPN account. He can then enjoy every game with his pipe and slippers.
The West Stand Upper rep is the dickhead that just removed me from the Hull City Fans Forum on Facebook. The **** him.
Was it for shouting out: 'Come on City' I spent a season up there...It was like a visiting a funeral home every other Saturday.
