Been a bit quiet this week on the transfer front

 

I’m expecting it to pick up post Plymouth with there being no game until the following Monday so we can have a full week of falling for every link we see

Always the way with transfer windows. You have the early moves involving players and clubs that are either keen to transfer or have reluctantly accepted the transfers need to happen. Then you have the last minute game of poker and panicking. Everything in the middle calms down

 

we might get an update today in the presser ar 2pm,

then will hear bits after the game on Saturday

 

wont be until next Monday things start moving as clubs will be wont to move players on etc

I just hope we land a striker, I really do think it will be crucial to have that backup for Isidor. I love Mayenda like but he doesn't need to shoulder a responsibility like that if Isidor gets injured. Especially while he is working on his composure in front of goal

What do you make of Abdullahi playing 45 mins last night?

 

Abdullahi looks a unit but I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make a first team appearance this season. Looks very raw still to me.

 

I had it on in the background. From the bits I saw the kid looked very raw, but certainly potential there. Doesn’t look ready for 1st team yet though, although he is coming back from injury so will need a bit more time to get up to full speed you’d imagine.

Abdullahi looks like somebody who could do with a loan somewhere like Gateshead or another National League side for a few months.

 

Like the others said, defo potential there like, the lad is a unit and has quick feet, just needs to get up to speed and then we will fully see what he is capable of I reckon. But we need someone more experienced to come in similar to Isidor. When I say experienced I don't mean 25+ and played in the league, just someone who has played a good amount of games and scored some goals. We need that composure in front of goal just incase Isidor is injured

 

Didn't we pay £3m for Abdullahi? No chance at all we send him to non league, he scored 21 in 28 last season for Gent B (third tier) and trialled with some big big clubs (Bayern Munich) who wanted to sign him, he chose Gent so he could play first team games sooner.

 

I think the level he was playing in, in belgium is probably better than that surely haha

 

Could also just be very rusty. It’s almost like a pre season for him this.
