    I see Sheffield United are at home to Hull on Friday night

    Not expecting much of an upset in that one

    That’s a decent little run. Plenty of football still to be played, I just hope we can get play-offs guaranteed and then have a real go at top 2. It’ll be tough but we’re in a good place

    Think the playoffs are a doddle at this point but top two feels beyond us.

    We have the squad for me but we just haven't been clicking since the first six or seven games of the season.

    Hope we can keep form good enough to give us some momentum for the pointy end.

    Exactly how I feel mate

    Concerns me that we don’t comfortably beat teams, unlike the sides above us

    Were doing well overall though, enjoyable season so far

    Our run in, from the 1st of March, is as good as you'd hope ...

    ... the other teams have to play each other and have more derby matches.

    I think we'll do better than we have so far, especially with the players we have coming in, it's going to get really exciting imo.

    A quick check and Sheff Utd have only scored three goals once this season ...

    ... none of their other games look that comfortable tbh.

    We just need to keep plugging away and picking up points, those above us will slip up at points (as will we) concentrate on ourselves and see where we end up, going to be a very interesting run in

    Shocking attitude that, that would put me off signing him if I was the club trying to sign him

    You simply can not do that, Plymouth are the team that pays your wages and have helped really improve your game

    He didn't last at Derby, his home town club, or at Swansea ...

    ... no idea if that was an attitude thing but I've noticed his body language is often quite telling.

    He seems to be the exact opposite of the young lads we have here, I wouldn't want him at the club.

    There is a little something in the goal difference that gives me a tiny bit of doubt about finishing top 2. Leeds and Burnley well ahead of us. Mind you Burnley hitting 5 last night has helped their cause. We seem to find a way to keep pace, but without scoring a lot of goals. We certainly do miss some very good chances.

    I have been saying top 2 since we started so well. It was largely due to how good Bellingham and Rigg looked, and the addition of Mepham. I still maintain we are a strong favourite for it, but that lack of goals when in command is a little bit of a worry. Hopefully Plymouth offer up a hatload to us and I can shut up.

    Burnley rarely blow teams away or win by more than a one goal margin either.

    We’ve scored more than Burnley and the same number as Sheff Utd (1 more than them when you count Isidor’s goal from Tuesday ;) )

    I get it mate. I just think we are setup to be more offensive. Certainly than Burnley. We committ our full backs and latterly one of our holding players into attack more. We leave ourselves a bit open at the back so will concede one or two more. Ideally we would be a bit more clinical in front of goal. Time yet for it to come.

    This may just be blind optimism, on my part, but I think there's more to this than meets the eye.

    Knowing how considered and deliberate RLB is, with introducing players etc, I wonder if he's playing this in the way he's approached big matches ... keep things tight, do the minimum to keep pace then step it up when teams are tiring.

    With the firepower we'll soon have available I think he may be 'keeping our powder dry' and also avoiding burnout. There's been times, like Portsmouth and Derby, when we've done enough without endlessly chasing the ball and keeping up any intensity. We've kept ourselves up there and done enough to virtually guarantee the play-offs. We're now entering a phase when we can start to up our game, and take more risks, to get into the top two.

    He'll know other teams have more derbies and matches against each other and that our run in looks very favourable. Many of us have felt we've won games without getting out of first gear and that's been frustrating when we've wanted the team to keep pushing for more goals. It's similar to how we want more and earlier subs while RLB hunkers down and keeps things steady. Losing is demoralising even if you've been brave and gone gung ho. With a young team I think he's played it right and their confidence is clearly growing, they also seem steely eyed and determined.

    I may be totally wrong but I think we're about to see us taking more risks in games like Leeds away. The last thing teams will expect is Sunderland flying at them but I think it'll start to happen. Whatever the case I agree with you, as I've done all along, that this 'half' of the season will see us going for it and winning more games.

    League games won with a 2+ goal cushion this season…

    Leeds = 14
    Sheffield United = 9
    Burnley = 8
    Sunderland = 5 (none since October)

    I don’t just make stuff up when I say we struggle to kill teams off, especially recently. That’s ridiculous from Leeds how often they rock up and just win 2 or 3 nil with ease
