My Labrador is totally friendly to all living creatures. Except squirrels. That said, the cats still stay away because she has boundary issues and invades their personal space which they hate more than being chased
My dog will chase cats if they are foolish enough to run, but gets confused and embarrassed if they stare him down. He looks at me as if to say what do I do now.
