My mate at the cab office says Pompey are sniffing around Kamara. Probably nothing in it but stranger things.
how much? It’s cool that you have inside knowledge of the contract from the other side of the planet. Very impressive
Brighton can't just recall a player without compensating us, as Howden said, either we are freeing up money we would have owed to Brighton in the second half of the season, or they will have paid us a break fee. It's a bit boring that posters continue to play the man rather than discuss a topic, so perhaps give it a rest.
So you are using assumptions presented as facts? Or using 2nd or 3rd hand info presented as your info. Thanks for clarifying x
Stupid ****ing questions. Or should it be ****ing stupid questions. Don't know why they bother. I'm with Tim on that.
What on earth are you on about now? Any club cancelling a loan pays a form of compensation. That is a fact. If we have agreed an incredibly rare loan structure where Brighton can recall Rushworth and not pay us for the inconvenience we're ****ing morons.
prove it…it’s assumption not a fact. Share the contractual details for this case, I’m keen to learn from the guru
Give it a rest. Howden and others posted the exact same thing and you didn't leap down their throats. It's no different to us needing to pay a fee to cancel Bedia’s loan.
If we had agreed a season long loan, then Brighton would have had to agree to a recall clause in the contract and can only do so when the transfer window is open. In many cases, clubs are refunded a portion of the loan fee they paid (if they did pay one) or the cost of the wages they would have covered (usually whichever is the higher number). It doesn't normally happen with things like youth loans but it's common practice among professional teams, especially if it happens at short notice like this has. I think we can get away with a free agent goalkeeper. Racciopi isn't going to stick around to play knowing we wanted rid and I wouldn't blame him. Benoit (balls) Costil, Etrit Berisha and Tomas Vaclik are all available on free transfers, all very experienced but not ancient and one of them would do us on a six month deal.
There are numerous articles including from the Athletic and this one not behind a pay wall that suggest Brighton had a recall clause for the first ten days of the window. https://www.footballinsider247.com/...g-to-recall-carl-rushworth-new-deal-lined-up/ Now I'm trying carefully not to make assumptions here but I don't believe we are still in the first ten days of the window. We will have either paid a loan fee to take Rushworth for the season, or we were paying them in instalments depending on them not activating said clause. Either way we are now less out of pocket than we would have been and that is FACT
