Vaughan shouts are bonkers he’s about as effective as a chocolate fire guard against championship opposition

Vaughan. Don't know why he was subbed?
    Alzate
    Puerta.
    ...
For those who don't like Kamara, he was certainly missed tonight.
Gelharte looked lively but I thought he was flagging a bit just before he scored, and it was a beauty. His confidence rose a notch or two after the goal, pity it didn't come ten minutes earlier. Crooks made a big difference when he came on, his physical presence alone added some steel to our midfield. If fit enough I would start with him on Friday night at Sheff Utd. He is exactly what we have been lacking.
First half was much better than the second for us and we could have done to have gone in at half time a goal or two up. We had the chances.
Danger always was they would snatch one and close the game up. They had a bit more speed and guile then us as the game wore on in the second half and their subs, as Middlesboro did, made the difference between a 0-0 draw and an away win.
So disappointing tonight because I don't think we were as bad as some are making out and a draw would have been a decent and fair result.

The chocolate fireguard last night was Vaughan's replacement. Can't remember Burstow touching the ball

Vaughan - bright and inventive, wanted the ball. His race was probably run when he got subbed off, but his replacement was useless
Alzate - Thought he dictated the pace of the game first half - faded a bit in the 2nd
Geldhart - Lovely finish and showed some nice touches

To be fair, he came on into a difficult situation. Already losing against a defence with something to hold onto, and who were successfully denying us getting the ball into good areas.

Five points for first choice, three for second, one for third.

    Alzate 79
    Vaughan 60
    Gelhardt 53
    Jones 26
    Burns 20
    Slater 11
    Puerta 7
    McLoughlin 3

Forgettable game with very few standouts. The new lad's goal I guess. After that I'm struggling.

    Onwards and upwards.

given Vaughans last 2 displays think he deserves another run out. Never saw the full game but most of the first half and Burnsy was effusive in his praise of him. As was the commentator of the highlights that watched.
