No chance. We have strong players out on the left side who are due back soon. We have reasonable cover out there too.

I don't even want Barry on loan let alone permanent for £10m

Yeah agree re Barry, we have 2 better players than him in his preferred position to come back

Also with Mundle, Browne, Watson, Seelt and Poveda due back in the next month or so and potential of another striker who drops out of the bench?

    AA, Trey and Jones?

At least 2 of those will be gone by the time the window closes... Club have been clever with certain players. Jones was meant to be off on loan already but they won't leave them self short and will give all injured players a chance to get back to fitness before sanction.

Yeah true can see Jones getting a loan and AA will be let go if there is a deal there for him, wonder if the rumours of Poveda being let out have anything in them

We've already had Coutinho and Enzo Fernandes move in January for roughly 120-130 million

MAybe, but even if he leaves without a replacement that means we have 3 strikers + Ogunsuyi., for a team that plays majority of games with one upfront.

Hence why they want someone versatile I assume so game time can be gained in other positions and not limited

I would consider a versatile winger more important than a CF right now

If we do get a Tom Cannon esque signing, I wouldn't be surprised to see Wilson back on the left.

Correct me if I'm wrong, didn't Reggie admit that Wilson wasn't as effective on the left and would only play him through the middle after a spell of games where he was useless out there? Like I say I might have imagined it.

Bang on, RLB said he won't even consider moving him, his style at CF suits this league were his words

Alright glad I'm not going mental, I think I mentioned to you when he first signed on Twitter as we both agreed he would be a CF first and foremost

To be honest I’m relaxed about any incoming transfers this window.

We have top quality players in every position with good backup and some young ‘uns coming through. I’d rather develop ours than get other players in who are not a big upgrade on what we already have. Once the injured players get back our squad is fine.

However, one position that is a little worrying is RB as the opposition seem to get a lot of crosses in from there. Once Huggins is back I would prefer him there. If there’s any position to need a half season loan it’s RB but eventually Huggins and Hume will have RB covered.

Of course, if we get another Elfy type of deal then that’s great but all the names so far haven’t really exited.
BBD, Cannon and Frigan are in Premier/Championship no mans land, not good enough and too good respectively. Our players are capable of being good enough (with a bit of help)

FWIW I would get Elfy into Riggs place, start with Roberts and use Mayender as a super sub. Adil can do LW until our two are ready.

Patterson’s kicking and distribution is improving but our throw ins still need a lot of work.

I think having ELF on the left until Mundle and Watson are back is the right move as he still offers so much quality there and he's better than any option like Adil. Also allows us to get Rigg in if we want to

We desperately need mundle back on the left

in totally fine with isidor as a striker, the goal he scored against Sheffield united and that breakaway last night showed his quality.

Could he make it in the prem? I don’t know but he’s comfortably got the ability to go beyond the championship.

in an ideal world a cannon type forward to compete with him, sure. In another world a right winger with mundle level output would be transformative.
