Lyndhurst produced a shock performance in the main match prediction competition this time out, although Plym fought back with both the goal time (45 forecast v 65 actual) and goal total (26 forecast v an unusually low 19 actual).

I know it sounds illogical but I think even though you've predicted a 0-0 draw, you should still be entitled to enter a goal time. It's a separate competition.
If I have decided a 0-0 result....how can I still put down a goal time.....If I put a goal time down....and the match ends 0-0....what will be the out come if I have put a goal time down ?.....will I forfeit my 0-0 which is the match result because I've also selected a goal time ?....it's still the same competition.....
That’s an overly rigid interpretation of a game: or rather two games: to predict the result and if there were to be a goal, irrespective of the outcome of the first game, when would it occur. It’s fair because it’s the same for everyone and it is how it works because I say so.
Having gone back as far as Page 27, I can't see a submission from SMH. It's not too late to do tonight's games SMH. Just on a minor point for future reference, Lyndhurst was marginally late (8:02pm) in submitting the set of forecasts which included the Burnley v Sunderland game on the 17th. It was irrelevant as he predicted a 2-0 win for Burnley and it actually ended up as 0-0. Just so you know, I do check though. Plym, in his inimitable style, is ignoring my request for an Argyle goal time. For a start, that messes up my goal time calculations and secondly, this is one very rare, possibly unique, situation in life where what I says goes. I did at one time receive instructions on how I should lay out my socks in my sock drawer just to emphasise the point. So, using the random number generator, he's opted for 42 minutes. Jumping straight to the half-time scores:
My choice is a 0-0 draw......that I feel is the only way Argyle will get a point.......okay I'll probably be proven wrong....but surely that can be my choice. If a goal is scored say in the 45th minute and that is my second choice....how will others feel....that I felt it was a 0-0 draw....but because a goal was scored in the 45 minute I still get the points.....now that is unfair.
Just read your last post....are our saying that 0-0 will never be accepted.....even though the match ends up 0-0. If that is the case then I would choose 45mins.....I'm certainly not interested in some random generated number.
FFS it's a light hearted game for seven of us. If you get 3 or 5 points for the correct goal time having forecast 0 - 0 then I doubt anyone will give a flying feck. You should however be shot several times for not supporting your team with a victory prediction. Only 2 can have any sort of excuse for not. I believe treason is still a hanging offence in this Country.
So if I want to throw points away on a 0-0 result what's the problem.....it's only a light hearted game amongst a few of us.
