Yeah he's going to be great, him and Khusanov will compliment each other a lot once they're fully developed
I was very surprised at your assertion (I've watched him closely a fair bit since we were linked a little while ago) so I did have a dip on their forums to see their thoughts. These definitely don't think he's the worst on the ball in the league: https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/43741-eiran-cashin-brighton-bid/page/6/#comments
That's interesting, must be divisive part of his game: I think his long switches are great but would be very nervous as a Brighton fan by his uncertainty under pressure. As I said I think he's a fantastic defender but not sure he's a fit for what Hürzeler likes his CBs to be able to do. EDIT: Just going through and it does seem a lot of them agree with the sentiment that he wouldn't be of brightons level. Perhaps an exaggeration of being the WORST but he can very much be a liability at times.
in that case I don’t know why we wouldn’t try for Clarke on loan worst case we’ve got mundle and Watson next year in the champ best case we’re promoted and Watson most likely gets loaned out anyway definitely think it’s worthy of consideration
If we got Clarke back we’d get promoted automatically imo. We were reliant on him before, he was always doubled up on etc imagine him playing in a system where we have quality all over the pitch? And we’d have someone who can actually score from 12 yards out
The bulk of his rehab is done. Just trying to provide context to why it's been longer than the 6-8 weeks initially mooted.
I don’t think Ipswich will loan him out personally but he’d be a cracking signing. Would walk into our current team. Loads better than the likes of Mayenda who is sometimes out wide for us
with JC - i honestly think we are a better side without him, last season everyone knew he was our game plan, keep him quiet and we fail. if Ipswich go down he will stay and they will use him his more, if they stay up, sold or loaned out
https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...-on-adil-aouchiches-sunderland-future-4952196 Régis Le Bris says that Adil Aouchiche could still leave the club this month. Aouchiche had widely been expected to depart in the January transfer window having featured little in the opening months of the campaign, but trained his way back into contention and took his chance over the festive period when Sunderland suffered injuries to key players on the left flank. Le Bris has hinted that as with Aaron Connolly, Sunderland will not stand in the attacking midfielder's way if January interest materialises. The Sunderland head coach has additionally confirmed that Abdoullah Ba is free to pursue a move away from the club regardless of what incoming recruitment the Black Cats are able to do. "With Abdoullah, it's clear that he needs game time so we are searching for a solution for him," Le Bris said. "With Adil, it's still open and it's exactly the same case as Aaron [Connolly]. We want for both sides, Adil and the club, we want to open up different options and at the end we will decide what is the better option for the both."
Obviously for the U21s as he's a bit old for our first team really. Now if he were 16 and played for Clermont foot that would be a first team signing.
On Jack Clarke, is it worth loaning him and using him on the left whilst Mundle and Watson are out/getting back up to speed. Once they are fit and firing, use him as an option off the right. He is right footed after all. We might not get the goal output from him on that side, but he could still get balls in the box for others.
Kinda disappointed by that. Don't feel he's had a fair crack of the whip under RLB if I'm honest. On the positive side, though, I'd imagine that means that there's confidence in the club that Mundle and Watson will return soon.
Can't see Ipswich loaning Clarke out even if we wanted him (which I don't reckon we do). Szmodics is out for a while with an ankle injury so can't see them letting Jack leave.
teams worked out, you keep him out of the game, we dont win, without him, its spread out a lot more, we look more of a team. he looks like hes lost that spark,. grass isnt always greener
