Dunno. That he plays suicidal but entertaining attacking football. Likes to give it back a bit even if he is a moody git. Saying that he has changed a bit. He never moaned much at the beginning lol
That's our Daniel! I don't think that it's about the suitability of Ange to the task at all. It's very clear that Levy has absolutely no ****ing clue what to do next and is aware that anybody who would do a half decent job is likely to be in a job already, so wouldn't take it if it was offered to them now.. and possibly ever...Why the **** should they? If he can avoid relegation and sacking Ange, until the summer, he can save on sacking costs, buy out clauses and transfer fees in this window, keep spending on the hotel and fend off the allegations that we're stuck in Groundchump Day. We're ****ed if he sacks him and ****ed if he doesn't. It's just a different choice of how it happens and whether the chump calls us "mate" or not, but like the other development projects he's overseen, this one has solid foundations and will last for a good long while.
Yep, Levy has backed himself nicely into that corner. After a good night sleep and a early morning coffee my mood has improved somewhat! For me the only option if he sacks Ange is go with Mason for the rest of the season as no real sensible person would take it now, although I'm not convinced that would be any better. I am so looking forward to the long trip to the match this Sunday. Even my son has bailed on me, got to work apparently.....
He definitely was narky even at the beginning, as that twunt who showed up to a press conference with a Bayern shirt found out But Ange has definitely been saltier this season, especially at the moment as he often looks ready to lamp journalists
“Understand Spurs remain intent on trying to help Ange Postecoglou rather then removing him from his position at the moment.“ - Ali Gold. Honestly mind blown. They’re sticking by this dunce but booted better managers who were doing better for less, he shouldn’t have been allowed on the team bus back after the game, let alone still have the board sticking by him. Oh and not sure if anyone mentioned it throughout the thread but Johnson’s out for 3-4 weeks.
The club and manager seem to think the on field issues are because of injuries and that Spurs will magically climb the table when Vicario, Micky and Romero come back. I don’t see it like that at all. The Europa game doesn’t really matter anymore, the Leicester 6 pointer is a must win. Draw or lose that and they’re surely have to remove him.
Exactly. That’s why I’m firmly in the manager out camp. For me, someone else could come in and get better results with the same players.
Agreed. We've been here before with Mason and not doubting his knowledge but I can't see how he can improve the situation when the squad is so decimated with injuries. I think we have to bite the bullet and give Ange another couple of weeks to salvage his Spurs career. I've been following Spurs for over 40 years and my gut feeling is to stick with him... and I'm torn apart by it...
Opposite for me. Mason would’ve likely brought on a few more of the young lads yesterday, he knows what it’s like to need that chance and the fact Ange only made two subs was a disgrace. The young lads are the ones trying their hardest at the moment too, a few more to do the same would be most welcome.
I'm sure that he'd sack him in a heartbeat...if he could find someone who is available, would take it...and who wouldn't demand serious money spending NOW, or cause further unrest amongst fans. Where, oh where is he, this unicorn?
definitely wouldn’t hurt to see more of that. But if there’s supposedly a “painful rebuild” currently underway, I’d rather we stuck to our guns. I don’t see it being any better with Mason. Same injured players, and a team devoid of confidence. Might pick up a few unexpected results, but ultimately we’re back to square 1 in the long run.
I’m pretty much “anyone but Ange” right about now. I’m sick of him to be honest. Nothing against him as a bloke, seems a good guy but as a manager he’s horrific. Probably the worst I’ve seen at Spurs in the last 20 odd years. I wholeheartedly believe Mason could do a better job, even if marginal.
