He hinted it was a loan. Taylor is the only left back we've been linked to but can't see Celtic letting him go on loan when he's a free agent at the end of the season. Maybe someone not getting a game at the bottom end of the prem. Luke Thomas or Conor Townsend perhaps?
But we were never getting promoted. The top 4 were insanely strong relative to the division and you don't close that gap in a January window. This has been done to death though.
Matazo’s another strange one. Hasn’t played much at all this season and not really a number 6 by the looks of it (seems more like Slater or Puerta). We’ve signed loads of central midfielders over the last three years but we’ve never really struck a good balance with our midfield. There’s always something off or missing about it.
He’s a powerhouse though. 3 sub apps in the champions league is impressive regardless of minutes. I think it smells the end for the likes of Palmer, don’t do enough off the ball
Never say never, you're guessing we wouldn't have won the play offs, I'm guessing we could have won them. All down to just three games of football, and anything could have happened in them. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
But palmer isn’t even playing So is it the end for puerta alzate or slater?? We can’t just keep chopping and changing Players constantly And I agree palmer good player but was he wanted by the manager? I doubt it
Those 3 need proper competition. They’re all having to play 80+ mins a game at the minute sometimes 3 a week with no back ips
I'm not guessing, I'm going off the fact that the Top 4 were miles better than the rest, and it's daft to think otherwise. Even Norwich who went on a massive winning run in the second half of the season to make the play offs barely offered a whimper.
Alzate the main one rotating at the moment so will be good to have someone as an upgrade on Simons. Puerta I'm also a little concerned about the minutes he's getting. Slater seems to be a machine and isn't being impacted too much by it I don't think, evidenced by the fact he actually improved as the game went on against Millwall.
You're guessing, take away Norwich and none of the teams that finished above us did the double against us. The season would have come down to three games, anything could have happened, and I'm guessing we COULD have won the play offs. That is all. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
So if we take away the team that did it then no one did it. We also didn't beat Leeds in either game, split results against Southampton, and didn't beat WBA in either game. You don't need to do the double over a team to progress in the play-offs.. Yes and Ipswich could have won the PL as the season started, but I think it's a bit more than a guess to have suggested they weren't going to. I don't know why people keep bringing this up as if it's still in any way relevant, and yet it's the same group that moan whenever people bring up how daft it was to sack Rosenior. They say it's been done and to stop talking about it, but then carry on about how we should have been promoted.
Toffolo - would be decent Jamal Lewis - likely available, not convinced Luke Thomas - meh, needs to find consistent game time Townsend been ruled out. That’s premier league players I think we could get.
Greg Taylor as a loan wouldn’t make sense. Tierney is being signed for the summer I thought from what I’d read.
