Having seen the threads talking about the lack of results and how the performances from Town have been so terribly embarassing etc etc...

I was really surprised to watch the Anglian news on the weekend with PJ on there laughing and cracking jokes like everything is ok and going well. This would be the thing that would really wind me up. You guys could not only go down, but have a Manager there who is laughing and joking while it happens.

There is a HELL of a lot at stake for your club right now. If you were to go down to league one do you still think ME would hang around to pick through the bones? Falling attendences, reduced income, and eye watering wage bill from an oversized squad.

Going down may well bankrupt Town.

We were on the verge of bankrupcy when we went down (Norwich) with £20-25 million debt. I think Ipswich have about £30-35 million. Glad we had someone we trusted and who is stable in control of us when that happened.

I don't know if PJ is right for the job, I don't really care. But if I was you guys the last thing I would want to see when the news comes on is some fool laughing and joking around when relegation is knocking at the door.

Despite what people say about it being the best thing to happen to us, it almost signalled the end. And there is no guarentee that just because you guys go down that you will do the same and bounce back like us.

What you need is someone with some balls of steel that has determination not some joker.

I dont want to see us suffer and I dont know if Jewell is the right man for the job but if you hear his press conferences and interviews then I believe he really does care about whats happening. he has a typical scouse approachability and is good natured but I definately dont believe he lacks in effort

    Typical scouse?

They may talk the talk, walk the walk but at the end of day it's all nonsense.

    Forget the Beatles.

Paul Jewells temperament is definitely not in question. His interviews are superb!! But i would agree with you that I don't think it would be a good thing for us to go down, Norwich could have quite easily gone into the abyss if Lambert wouldn't have gone to the club!!
