I know he's not played much AND he's not being played in his preferred position but Jack Clarke looks absolutely miles off the levels for PL

I've made a point of watching him and apart from that one move where he ran at City's defense and played in Delap, I don't think he's touched the ball much tbh. It seems that he's either up against 2 so he passes the ball or Ipswich are moving the ball down the right most of the time. I do agree though, he looks lost

 

He's not the only one, City are carving through them at will, yet aren't even in top gear yet. Delap has been talked up as an England cap, but has largely been anonymous. And the centre midfield are being bypassed like training ground mannequins.

The gulf is huge. It's why the three that went up last season and the bottom three now.

 

Turning in to a training session this... Does make you wonder how much a team needs to invest to stay in the Premier League
