Well, what can you say. Dominated first half but never looked like scoring. Concede soft goals and Forest have not had to work hard for a scoreline that perhaps flatters them. Just looks a gulf in quality. Player confidence must be decimated.
I’m not being ridiculous and saying Juric out yet, but it’s notable that Rusk’s approach looked like it could get us enough attritional points to get out of Derby County territory, is it the only way these players can get points? Do we need to revisit?
My brother bullied me into supporting Saints, thumping me, forcing me to learn the line-up by heart so I could recite it if he asked me, took me along to my first game aged 8, lost 0-3 to Leeds at the Dell, Jones scored two goals on his birthday. If he wasn't already dead I'd kill him...
Just need to devalue it and remember it’s just a game and a hobby, we can’t afford to take this ****e seriously anymore. The players clearly don’t.
Fans deserve better. Feel so sorry for everyone that pays to watch these idiots. Very glad I have a newborn so unable to go to many games this season. Just utterly pathetic. Worst thing is it was all so avoidable. Absolute cretins in charge.
Appalling. Actually did alright for first 20 but just carry zero threat and give away terrible goals. Heads noticeably dropped after the second. Majority of players clearly aren't arsed in slightest. No idea how Downes didn't get sent off. Definitely looked deliberate from where I was stood.
Tbf we gave Utd a good game on Thursday so I think Juric style could get results. The problem is that every other team will want it more than us as we have nothing to play for, and when you lack the quality as we do that means lots of hammerings
We are so s*** How many negative records can we break this year? Lowest points, most goals conceded ?
I don’t think the United game counted for anything really, we treated it like we were playing United of old but they are a bang average side these days and despite playing well for 80 mins we utterly capitulated at the end. Today shows it was another flash in the pan flatter to decieve performance against a traditional big 6 side, we had plenty of those under RM too. Sidenote: Laughing at the accidental ‘Christ alive’ from Blackmore who obviously had the microphone returned to him earlier than expected.
Well true, I saw the win at Wembley so my gravestone will be a historical rarity as archaeologists think 'That Sunday morning league team won the FA Cup against Manchester United?!!' but to be fair those Division Two seasons at that time weren't that great and then when the 80s rocked around I was actually playing football so saw few games. In general it has been season upon season of crap to be fair, with a few bright spots here and there.
