I’m going to keep saying it, Knight, Bird and Twine do not offer enough as a midfield 3. Yes, Wells missed a good, but not easy chance early on, but what else was created for him by those 3, absolutely nothing, again. Liam needs to review that quickly, it’s cost us a lot the last couple of months. I think Knight needs a rest, he looks knackered and way off the pace. He was the main culprit of pi$$ poor passing today, particularly when we had breaks, and it’s not the first time lately. Perhaps with Williams back, he may change it up, something has too change. Anis was poor today as well, way below the performances he has turned in lately as well.
Enjoy the rest of your holiday mate. I’m replacing the dishwasher in my kitchen. After that I’ll prepare veg for tomorrow’s Sunday lunch (got the family coming round). Then I’m organising 2 sacks of firewood that arrived this morning, then I’ll light a fire and settle in for a snuggly warm evening in front of the TV with a few Guinness Zero’s (I’m off the booze until next Saturday) All that’s better than enduring the steaming pile of faeces I’ve just witnessed.
What little we saw for the lads today sums up why we will never compete and the silence from management always indicates total apathy to fix the problems. The passing today was utterly dreadful and who was the player who tried to clear the ball from danger but ended up giving it to a Coventry player in open space? That mistake was immediately followed by poor defending by McNally that led to their goal but those kind of mistakes were being made across the entire length and breadth of the field. Having to bring on Armstrong to save the day shows that we have no depth to a pool of very weak players and that was shown in full horror today. The desire out there today was as bad as I have ever seen and everyone on the pitch today should hang their collectives heads in shame because they each contributed to an absolute joke of a performance. We always blow the opportunity to cement our place with 3 points when most needed as it has happened so many times in my memory and you would think someone in higher management would have recognized that fact and acted in a way to improve our lot, but no is always the response and that will get us absolutely nowhere.
When I was in Mauritius over Christmas I did not watch it would have ruined my holiday enjoy your holiday city are ****.
Just giving my liver a break - and I hate sweet sticky soft drinks like coke or J2O. Guinness zero is like drinking Nescafé instant decaf when you’re used to Italian blend filter coffee, but it’s palatable and gets me through.
We keep saying what a tough league this is but we’re bang average What does that say about the lower reaches of this league ? As an example QPR have had a pretty poor season but they’re just behind us now Oxford have had a very poor start but since Gary Rowett took over they’ve won 3 on the bounce and aren’t that far behind us
The bloke has lost the plot -not concerned he ain’t the answer never was the answer a puppet for Tinnion and Jon L #BristolCity have now not won any of their last six matches away from Ashton Gate following their defeat to Coventry, but Liam Manning is not concerned ⚪️ Read the head coach's reaction here Liam Manning insists that he is not concerned by Bristol City's away form following the Reds' defeat to Coventry City on Saturday afternoon. The Robins extended their winless run on the road to six games as they were beaten 1-0 by Frank Lampard's Sky Blues at the CBS Arena, with Brandon Thomas-Asante's goal proving to be the difference between the two sides.
It is all becoming a bit of a sick joke and our new supposed messiah is struggling, as did all his predecessors, and frankly I can't see him or the players being capable of turning things around this season based on what we have all witnessed. Trying our best to support our team we either get ignored, or bored, by the same old trash being served up time and time again and basing future on our poor past history and so the song remains the same. As was earlier said in this post we brought in a player who probably wouldn't get a game up on the Downs (thanks RR) and the rest can't put in a decent shift, as a unit, to save their lives. We constantly sell good players and replace them with also-rans and lower division wannabees and expect them to get us to the promised land and wonder why we never have made it yet. Do you think our beloved leader has ever looked at why teams like Brentford, Brighton, Burnley, Luton and many others who have worked for success and achieved what we supposedly want know how to get there while we just watch on in awe and apathy? Surely if you want to be successful in the football business you have to look at the teams and systems that are able to build a competitive squad with little or no money and then decide why and how we always get it wrong? Bah.
shocking Mike and unfortunately unless we get new owners-investors we are stuck with the same old same old
I can always accept a little downturn in form but this rubbish has been going on for years and the biggest issue for me is that our owner doesn't give a rat's arse. When I look at all the clubs that should be rated lower than us in the catchment area and have a smaller stadium statistically it makes me sick that our supporters are being treated like mugs. The list goes on about other clubs and the reasons as to why they have enjoyed the upper level but we just keep on following the same old rut which eventually will come back and bite Lansdown, but then again he obviously likes League One because that's where he allows his crew to recruit players for our trip to the Premiership. Somebody needs to get off their high horse and fess up that we will remain useless for the foreseeable future and the beatings will continue until morale improves. Shameful Steve no matter which way you choose to see reality and you are a continuing joke to the football club I thought you loved.
I rest my case, when dopey bollocks says we will win it’s a guaranteed loss or draw at the best. Stop predicting RR you’re **** at it
