Good luck to the lad. I hope he finds some form again. Unbelievable when he really got going at Spurs
Mayenda for me is a sub through the middle or gets a start now we can rotate. id like a rw who can immediately compete with roberts and has pace i suspect with le fee in the middle, thierry isidor and two pacey wingers we'd be some force and thats without jobey bellingham box crashing
Yeah for me, though he's a nice player, it misses the mark for the sort of succession plan signing we need to be making this January. If I cast forward to a summer where we've missed out, I don't see an all-purpose attacking midfielder being the profile we really lack. Yes we'd be likely to lose Rigg but we've already got players for that profile. For me the obvious succession spots are deeper in midfield (particularly players with physicality) and at full back. If we target younger players then we're fine whatever we pick up. If we bring in players with an eye on them impacting next season I don't think this lad gives us something we are clearly lacking right now. Also, with us having decent coverage in most spots, we need to be mindful of finding positions where an assumed transfer windfall can really help us next season. Personally I view adding another versatile AM as being something that's a bit of a blocker for that. I'd rather wait and bring in a game changer if we do miss out on promotion.
Suprised we haven’t heard of a destination for Ba yet, seems to of fallen well of the face of earth. Not in any squad as of recent with the under 23’s or the first team.

shame it hasn’t worked out for him here, struggled to find his best position but still maintain that we don’t have anyone that can move the ball as quick as he can at his feet. So much potential there but i definitely don’t think it’s with us unfortunately.
Ba showed flashes in his first season with us that there was a player there. Not consistently, but enough to think that we could get him to kick on the next season and be at least a useful first team squad player. But last season was awful, his performances were poor when he appeared in the first team, his confidence seemed shot and the booing he got one game coming on as a sub could only have made things worse. It's best for us all if he moves on, but if he's not even getting games with the under 23s, he's going to be forgotten about.
Just done some digging and last year in Jan Galatasary paid a £500,000 loan fee and covered £500,000. So £1M total package ( Around just under 40,000 per week contribution)
@AlanBiggs1 Chris Wilder spoke confidently to me for talkSPORT about signing FIVE players for #SUFC this window - including Ben Brereton Diaz & Tom Cannon. BBD loan with a view to permanent, Cannon fee set to be agreed. “Well backed by new owners & I’m grateful." Only Tom Cannon fee agreed, player hasn't agreed by the looks of it

but yet he still offered more productivity wise on stays than Roberts did all season… do agree with the rest of your points though.
