£10M for cannon... Surely there's much better available for less... It doesn't make any sense. £6M at the most really
9 goals in a dour side like Stoke after going to Leicester for 7m last season I can't see how his value has dropped at all.
Value is relative, ultimately comes down to the value the selling club are prepared to let them go for vs how much the buying club needs them. January sales are typically elevated where buying clubs are more desperate and selling clubs less prepared to sell, in Cannon's case, there are 3 teams in for him, are very keen to buy a striker and Leicester know it. If anything, I think that 10m right now is good business for the buying club, 9 goals by xmas in the Championship is a very good record, and if he continues like that he could easily be worth 20 come the end of the season
Same journalist who first reported that Rushworth was going to start for us months ago before getting injured. A few on here angrily dismissed him because they didn't like that news. Presumably they'll reject this too.
Porteous dropped to the bench for Watford, not sure if we’re still interested. 1-0 up against Derby which I really wasn’t expecting
I kinda hope we don't, can't really see the point in spending a significant fee on someone that I'm not sure is any better than Jones or McLoughlin. Surely there are better options?
Apparently Baz on his fb live virtually confirmed the winger is Sorba Thomas. Playing regulary on loan at Nantes, so surprised we could get him away.
Yes i'd be very happy with it, would add some much needed pace. Doesn't get too many goals, but seems to get plenty of assists each season. My only concern is that it's another winger who prefers to play on the right. That's arguably Kamaras, Thomas and Gelhardts strongest position now.
