No pressure, if those players go we’ll have over £100m in the bank for those responsible for recruiting four of the six you’ve named to go again with a bigger budget and expanded wage structure. It’ll be a shame as I feel massively attached to the current squad but I’ve faith in the hierarchy to continue to progress the club.
I dont think any amount of money will make me feel satisfied if/when we do lose Rigg and Jobe. Itll take most of it to be able to find players of similar ability to replace them aswell. Ballard, Hume and Patto will be a nice little windfall though
Excellent post Scout. I think this said it all. Even if I was being objective, I couldn't disagree with a single point you've made. Le Fee needs to take Rigg's place in the middle and we need an alternative to Roberts, who again flattered to deceive. Isidor will be rueing those misses, but should reflect on how good his performance was other than that. He reminds me a lot of Marco. Blistering burst of speed, a constant pest for defenders, but goal scoring wise, he makes the impossible look easy and the easy look impossible, in that he scores worldies but misses ones you would expect him to score. I always thought that with Marco. By next Saturday night, I expect us to be reflecting on having picked up 7 points out of 9 in 8 days and many of us would have taken that yesterday morning.
Quite right mate. It's the Stokes and Plymouths of this world that we struggle with. Even that defeat against Sheff Utd was undeserved.
Me neither. I seen people critique his game and his poor finishing yesterday. I didn’t see anyone abuse him. Might well have missed it like, it’s been a long thread.
Yes but guaranteed Patto would be booked for the first one! And probably sent off for the second. Remember Patterson has been booked for time wasting before 50 minutes. Opposition keepers they seem to just wait until the 95th minute as a token gesture
Take the point from last night and we move on. Sign we are serious players in the promotion race now. Put it behind you Isidor…
Yeah, about 4 people doing a search whilst others looked on. Also, we were near the back in the safe standing area and I found it difficult to see anything near the goal line.
Isidor should start at Derby he has had a set back but will be stronger for it, get a striker in and the injured players back and we can beat any team in this division and the mags result has cheered me up !
Brilliant post. Was saying much the same things as we walked out of the ground last night, particularly about Le Fee. A couple of games to get his match sharpness up PLUS to get used to the pace of the championship (and his teammates) then we shall see the benefit. As well as his superb ball control, killing the ball instantly, there was a couple of moments that really stood out second half. One was the movement then pass to Isidor early second half then another when the ball was falling to him and he sort of stubbed his foot at it to swerve it past the fullback and he went round him. Can't wait to see him more centrally, particularly when Mundle is back.
Yeah, don't like being in the first few rows but maybe if I was 6ft+ I would have had a better view. Hopefully get a better view on Tuesday.
Thanks again for the lift home. I enjoyed the company. Thought we played really well last night and it was so frustrating not to score at all from any of the chances we had. Would have been happy with a point before the match but was disappointed not to get all three afterwards.
