A really good point that most of us would have been happy with beforehand just disappointing having 2 great chances to win it.

Big picture wise it shows how far this team has come and has caught up with the likes of Burnley and Sheffield United now. Got to be quietly confident going into games against Derby and Plymouth - 6 points to play for and if we get them it will be seen as a really decent result last night. Looking forward to going to both this weeks games. HtL.

For me you have a designated penalty taker, I don't think you would have a 2nd or 3rd penalty taker lined up but you should have a main taker picked before the game

I get them maybe deciding on the pick for the 2nd one, but only if the designated penalty doesn't want to take it because they missed the previous one

I've slept on it and in all honesty I'm taking the positives.

Barring the first 20 mins, where you expect the home side to come out to try and score early, I felt Burnley offered very little. The only real threatening action in that second half was a simply superb tackle by Luke O'nien. We've had our chances and on this occasion haven't taken them. Like any striker Isidor will be gutted hes missed but he needs us all to back him because he has, does and will score goals. His threat in behind is massive too with that pace.

I'm most encouraged with the midfield. Again barring the first 20 mins I thought our midfield lads dominated. Neil was composed, got stuck in and kept his passes simple. Riggy was his usual busy self but ironically the quieter of the three. Jobe is utterly sensational, he is composure personified and so classy in how he goes about his business.

I'm encouraged by Le Fee. He showed some touches of class and that flick round the defender and the eventual through ball to Isidor oozed class. Inevitably hes going to end up centrally to impact the game even more.

Overall, you have a promotion rival that are absolutely buzzing to get a point from us at home. We still have a few weeks to recruit players and we still have some quality football players to return from injury.

Lets keep the faith lads and lasses.

Yeah I agree. Just found it strange. For a coach who loves control, biomechanics background, he is happy to leave this sort to stuff to chance!!!

I also think people have to remember that emotions are always high immediately after a game. So people will vent their frustrations, and then people bite back and it escalates

Emotions run high after a game

My emotions were all over the place after the game, was buzzing (with the performance), content with the point, raging about the missed opportunities, angry at 1st about no1 else taking the 2nd penalty, disappointment for Isidor and also proud of the team

I probably am still all those things tbh

Aye. Agree with all that. Who's your pen taker moving forward ?

Hard to tell as not seen many of them take a pen, would 100% be Adil if he's on the pitch

I think Jobe would be good, just think he's got the arrogance needed for pens - and I'm probably judging it on his brother being a good pen taker

I know folk were saying Le Fee because he's technically brilliant but he's never been a goal scorer so I wouldn't be confident in him

Mundle would also be high up my list, he is a good finisher and generates good power on his shots with his side foot - always key to penalties

    You?

I disagree, fans of different clubs, or at least those occupying certain spheres are often very different. It’s a culture thing, shaped over time - I can tell the difference in speaking with, say, most proper Spurs fans compared to with an Arsenal fan.

I trawl through a lot of other fans’ forums (get a great insight into other teams and clubs goings on) and they all vary massively.

    Mepo.......

No seriously though, I would go with Mundle when fit but at the moment I would go with Jobe. Pens are mostly psychological and the consistent, calm minds are the most successful in higher pressure situations.

I agree about a designated penalty taker, but on the rare occasion a team gets another after the 1st one is saved.....the captain should have a say. Wilson looked shot to bits with Traffords ****housery ...I would like to have seen someone take responsibility. Jobe, Dan, Le Fee, are pretty cool customers and would give Trafford another thing to think of

    Well, it’s the morning after.

We went to a club supposedly out of reach and we were better side.

We had several presentable chances against the ‘worlds best defence’ - what can we now do, with having added the grace and speed of thought of the beautiful Enzo?

Proud, so proud, of our absolutely mind blowing away support rallying behind Wilson and reminding him he plays for a proper club and fans.

It’s a massive shame we didn’t win but a draw and maybe just about deserving a win on their patch is a great result.

Remember after the home game when they had a few missing, and folk said we couldn’t live with them over a season? We we had them missing this time, the gap is gone, we are better than them.

We are better than Sheffield United too, we should have had at least 4 probably 6 points of them.

KLD and Speakman will deliver again and we are more than in this top 2 hunt. We have come so far it’s crazy and it feels like it’s accelerating.

Wilson has been a beautiful find. A goal getter, an out of nothing goal getter. He has bought into the club, the culture and the fans.

We will build him back up at Derby then Plymouth home, and he will continue to massively contribute to a super season.

Anyone can miss a pen. Baggio, R9, Cristiano, RVN, Henry… **** happens.

It's a tough one, as if Isidor says I want it and Neil takes it off him because he doesn't trust him, that can really damage a player and a dressing room

I like that our striker wanted to step up and take it, I remember when Roberts missed against Sheff Utd everyone was calling for Isidor to take the next pen

Fine to disagree but from what I have seen all clubs have those types of fans. Obviously for smaller clubs it's not as visual compared to the big ones due to the number of actual fans

Football fans are emotive when it comes to their rationale, some control it better than others

Tell you what I noticed. The official club page comments are now absolutely littered with African and foreign fans who go know **** all, akin to the official PL pages.

Now, what that is, is profile. What we are doing by is being noted outside of England which is going to be massive for player recruitment.

Hasn’t a certain player missed about a 3rd of his penalties or something mad like that.

His name escapes me, Lionel something or other….
