Listening to the press conference with Puerta, sounds like he’d be happy to stay. That’s one of be looking to do this window if funds allowed

Hopefully. I think we'd be mad not to scrutinise any Fenerbahçe-related deals though. Presumably it's a marriage of convenience rather than someone Selles particularly wants. The fact we seem to be signing other players in his position in addition to the ones we already have, and Selles supposedly wants a smaller squad, I'm not sure it adds up really. When Turkish people say that Acun is routinely using City to offload Fenerbahçe's dead wood there isn't really a good case to disprove it is there?

Tufan was probably the biggest case of deadwood though. He was a complete meme in Turkey because of him being “overweight” etc yet he was one of the best in the division under a proper gaffer. Allahyar ruined by Shota’s terrible pre season that crippled half the side. Pelkas was just completely average but was a loan. Pedro was a cast off and is probably the best striker Acun has signed since he took over. Fenerbache “cast offs” have a decent hit rate here. He’s coming off a decent loan at a good level to hopefully put himself in the shop window which will be to our benefit. He quite literally has no reason to come to us either. He could’ve just stayed in Turkey collecting a wage not playing yet he’s leaving his family to come to little Hull for 6 months.

He may be absolutely terrible for us, but I fully understand why some scrutinise it. I just don’t see why he’d come here just to coast, it’s not like we are giving him a payday as it’s what he’s earning anyway. He wants to play football

Had to go back to a thread from 2015 to learn about the origins of the strikers arsehole, there were some funny threads along the way.

Yeah Tetteh was good. I also thought Pelkas was good, bizarrely exactly the same as Omur, great skill and involved in some absolutely fantastic play in midfield but everything just fell apart at the end product.

tetteh, like allahyar, looked good in parts but just couldn't stay fit, Omur and pelkas both look decent technical players but lack the physicality or pace needed for championship football for me.
