    Linda Nolan has sadly passed away with her famous sisters by her side following a 20-year battle with breast cancer.

    The singer's death was revealed in a statement released by her agent Dermot McNamara, who revealed that she passed away on Wednesday morning following a battle with pneumonia.

    He said: 'It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Nolan, the celebrated Irish pop legend, television personality, Guinness World Record holding West End star, Sunday Times bestselling author and Daily Mirror columnist

    RIP Denis Law, age 84, dementia and alzheimers since 2021. One of the greats, the likes of whom there are too few of.

    RIP Pleasure of meeting him in 88 when he and Georgie Best on a speaking tour in Oz. I told him he broke my heart when he equalised against us in the Watney.cup final. He said sorry mate.
    He watched George like a hawk after the talk, making sure he didn’t get into strife.
    Fantastic player, and funny too.

    Had the privilege of seeing him score in the first minute of a Iiverpool v Manchester Utd game at the Kop end and gave a two fingered salute gesture to the Liverpool supporters. Think it was 1966. Liverpool won the game 2 1.
    The ground was full at 2pm for the 3pm Kickoff!

    "Denis the Menace" anywhere in the penalty box. Wonderful player with a great sense of humour.
    First overhead kick goal I ever saw was scored by him when he was playing for Huddersfield in a pre-season game against of all teams Man Utd. Magic.
