Nixon is a strange bloke. Answers questions like a politician, constantly changes his story and has no time for anyone who questions him. He obviously has some decent contacts and if he just stuck to reporting what he actually knew instead of embellishing stories so people subscribe to his patreon then he'd probably be a decent journo.

If you remember Upthere from RTG said earlier in the week that we have not bid for Cannon.

I think the permanent deals he was reporting were obligation to buy deals and now Sheff Utd have offered the same deal but as immediate signing permanently.

Yup. Wasn't ever that sol on him, not on a permanent deal and definitely not for £13m. We will have other targets.

Nope. He said they were both permanent. No loans. Said the player was taking time to decide.

You can understand why Leicester would accept that over ours. Not fussed in the slightest. £13m is a huge sum to pay when you are working without PL money.

Nixon reckons in response to someone saying I thought both bids were accepted

‘Seems Leicester wanted final bids by midday. And only one that came in as requested was Sheff U’

I'll be testing out the "twonkhead" phrase with my 10 year old this evening. It's a level up from "ding-dong" .

    Cheers for the inspiration Bucky1989

It is but with parachute payments its much more worth the risk for them than it is for us. At worst case they have a good championship level forward who's young and should retain most of his value, if not increase it. Best case they go up and just loan him back to the championship next season.

    Rinse and ****ing repeat.

I’ve been caught up in the hype around Cannon and for some bizarre reason didn’t want him at the rumoured £7m, but do now that it’s £13m. Doesn’t make sense. If it doesn’t happen, I don’t think I’ll be that bothered though. Isidor is better, just need to hope he doesn’t get injured.
