Not sure that’s true. Was lots of talk of us being interested but couldn’t afford the fee as was huge money
Get the feeling City know they will not be punished for the 115 charges as they are splashing the cash. Do wonder if there is any clauses in any of these contracts if they do get relegated.
Can only assume there are some big release numbers that kick in after few years or something. He and his team were far too smart to tie themselves down and price themselves out of moves when at Salzburg and Dortmund.
Funny thing is sky have a list of longest contracts in prem. The amount of ridiculous contracts Chelsea players are on. They have 10 of the top 11 after Haaland. including dodgy keeper Jorgensen, anselmino who has never played, veiga who looks average and is being linked with a loan, Mudryk who needs nothing said, Neto who is a bit part player and Felix who is a bit part player. Thats before you get to Sanchez badiashille gusto Washington who aren’t first teamers anymore and have contracts under 2030
there are clearly very good benefits of signing a young player on a long contract. Obviously if recruitment is wrong, it would be a disaster.
Also some massive cons. Always talk about giving kids too much money before they make it and losing motivation - same can be said for giving someone 100k a week for 8 years no matter how **** they perform.
Rumour going round is that they will escape any relegations or Points deductions (or only get minor pts deduction) but will have a lengthy transfer ban. So they are getting in their buys now as it might be 3 or more windows before they can buy again. Tying Haaland down for a longer time ensures they won't need to replace him before they can't, plus he knows they'll still be in the PL and win titles. Just a rumour though
Sounds like Danns could be loaned out. Wouldn’t be terrible if it was to a team where will play and get chances. However he’s looked decent any time he’s come on for us and I’d probably be more confident in him putting away a 1v1 than Nunez. As an option coming off the bench when searching for a goal and dominating I think he’d be decent. In the Forest game for example when balls falling around in the box, him and Jota seem to have that ability to be right place. Liverpool head coach Arne Slot on whether the Reds will loan out striker Jayden Danns in the January transfer window: "I think you take a lot of things into account when you want to loan someone, is it good for the player? Yes or no. Do we still need him? "We have two or three for No 9 and we don't expect Jota to be out long. Hopefully we see him on the pitch soon, Jayden has done well when he has come in, so we have four options and we need to make the right decisions."
Harling Haaland has agreed a new contract to stay at Manchester City till 2034. Nine more years with City.
Saudi Arabia confirmed MO Salah's agreement. https://www.anfieldwatch.co.uk/live...orld-class-target-as-eur40m-deal-takes-shape/
yep, like I said, recruit the wrong character and you’ll be saddled with them. But in an age when high quality players are running contracts down, it is a potential tactic to protect your investment and spread the cost but you really are tying your player to the club, for better or worse.
I just can't see Salah going to Saudi. Somewhere like PSG maybe, but not Saudi. I still think he is going to stay.
Dawn Nunez is neither hot or cold. He has disappointed many supporters. We need to minimise our losses by letting him go latest by summer.
No Nunez is the definition of hot or cold. He’s either great or poor. Very rarely does he have a solid 7
LFc have now no intent of using any of the young players. If aynone is thinking of signing a deal they shoudl stay where they are and work their way up as they'll be bought soon enough. nyoni would have played for leicester last year and this year imo. totally wthout question. danns will go on lona and i hope be fit and play and score 10 goals in 20 games or whatever. He willthen be worth 30mil and the profiteers will sell him. IMO the FA cup picking the 16 year old was just an exception now. If i were advising a young player i would tell them to look at the salary on offer and ignore the talk of opportunity. they can all play for thier own clubs more easily and get more game sin. you really want to get your 100 pro games in asap to have the best career. Sitting at lfc playing u21 or u19 CL is pointless. These kids will be used to find the next senior signing. we sold van den berg (who's done nothing) to fund the purchase of the keeper and sold carvalho to fund the purcahse of chiesa. not neither kid really came to much so we are in our rights to move them on but at the same tim e both may well have been better off at their original clubs and just playing all the time.
