    RIP.

For me he was one of the great innovators in tv and movie.

I genuinely believe Twin Peaks is one of the most watchable and magnificent tv series. Eraserhead and Blue Velvet will be talked about for many years yet as films.

Absolutely courageous and never afraid of taking chances.

People who like 'comfortable and cosy' would hate him, which I understand, but I loved everything he did ...

... even when I didn't like it, if that makes sense.

Twin Peaks is one of my 'litmus tests' for strangers ... if they don't get it I move on.

I'm not sure if we'll see his like again, CGI and AI will rule I'd imagine.

And he was cool without trying which always made me laugh ... rest in peace.

Remember rushing home from Seaham Conservative Club, I know, don't judge me, it was a canny club, to watch Twin Peaks and my wife and I trying g to figure out what it was all about. But I guess that, that was the point.

Big fan of his work and this made me sad. Apart from anything else he was such a genuinely nice bloke.

One of a kind indeed. A lot of variety.

Elephant man, watching as a youngish kid, was poignant. Had no idea that was him til much later in life.

Blue velvet, obviously then Wild at heart.

remember going to see Mulholland drive at the cinema with a few friends. One minute you’re gripped with suspense, next minute a bit horny, then scratching your head before finally laughing out loud at some absurd and abstract scene. Summed up his genious.

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but he could pour mine.

I also liked his version of Dune.

    RIP
