I think this is worse than getting thrashed 5-0. If we strung a couple of wins together we could at least make a battle of it
Shame we gave it a good go but the quality of subs made a difference and our team just are not fit enough.
Zirkzee has indeed been hugely impactful. But choosing Smallbone as Dibling's replacement really handed all initiative to Utd.
I agree but this is another dreadful night in its own way. This performance and a win might have sparked something of a resurgence (almost certainly not enough to keep us up but possibly enough to salvage some pride). Instead it's essentially another kick in the head.
Yeah, that's fair actually. Not the wisest of choices. Still not sure I'd go so far as to say we threw it away (third goal not withstanding).
Sorry we lost 3-1, results are what counts. Coming out all guns blazing against a top side to bravely lose is a hallmark of this team we have done it multiple times already this season, nothing new happened today. Apart from Sulemana perhaps. Fair enough for the effort, but it doesn’t represent any progress. On the negative side I know, but I’m looking for signs out form will improve and unfortunately despite 80 mins today, I’ll only be convinced when we actually get a result over the line. We simply don’t have the ability to convert chances in the PL and we will struggle to get many more points without it.
