Tonali is possibly our best premier league player. He’s has absolutely everything.

I know he has the benefit of Bruno and joelinton.

I guess the real question is are these 3 our best ever PL midfield combo.

I think yes. They have everything. Strength power agile creativity.

This season is really going places.

Agreed. And he’s getting better. Bruno and Joelinton are now excelling even more because they trust he will just sweep up if they lose a creative pass.

It’s scary how good we are right now.

Well Rodri is the ****, let's remember that. His record of like them never losing in a million games when he's playing, and them being dog **** when he's not playing.

The football world without Rodri playing is nice.

Don't give Man City ideas, they will be planning to replace him if his injuries persist.

Tonali is world class. It is ****ing scary how good he is.

He reminds me of Pirlo. Whoever scouted him deserves a raise. Whoever it was that had Milan's pants down - a medal.

Not sure if it’s just me but I definitely see shades of a certain Peter Beardsley in Tonali. His tenacity, energy and just overall game play is quite scarily similar at times. In the modern game for me that’s quite the compliment and achievement after only half a season give or take in the team. He’s ****ing light years ahead of longstaff and close to being one of the best midfielders I’ve seen in 40+ years for us.

£50m for him anarl, seemed a bit OTT at the time but OMFG what a snip!

I don't think there's any question they are our best trio - not old enough to remember before the EPL era but I'd be amazed if one of the more "senior" members of the board could remember

    a trio of better CM's.

This midfield is amazing, steamrolls most other teams, i'm being demanding but i'd like to see more goals come from the three, Bruno in particular has had decent chances this season but seems to try and float the ball into the net.

Also just thinking about the spine of the team Botman (25) Tonali (24) Isak (25) for the next 3-5 years...

Shearer when asked how many goals he would have scored if playing in this team: "35-40 per season". <laugh>

    Probably about right.

Yeah and whack Tino and Hall either side of Botman at the back that's half our team and that is top drawer quality right there! Someone of equal quality to sit next to Botman (not an immediate priority over and above RW). Once we get an upgrade on Murphy for RW we're set for a good while and can then work on upping the quality on our bench which to be fair is not that shabby all things considered.

I think Osula may surprise us all and could very well be an adequate replacement for Wilson, I get the impression EH likes the single front man approach rather than 2 up top so we'll be pushed to find a goalscorer worth their salt to wam the bench cos Isak is as undroppable as any other undroppable thing you could ever find in undroppableland !
