When I was visiting HRI regularly 4 or 5 years ago I used to go to the Madras just opposite, never let me down.
Yeah that must be it. Looking at pictures and reckon that's it. Wild to think I was there 10 years ago! Memory starting to fog over..
I haven't had an Indian takeaway in years. If I fancy a curry I usually make one. Maharaja and Chilli were the places I used to go for one though.
That's another burger pet peeve of mine. Brioche buns. Soggy mess with no structure to it. I read they became a trend because they have a better shelf life.
With the way a lot of these modern burger places are going, you may as well just make your own or get a double Whopper from Burger King if you want a wide burger with a sesame seed bun.
Not to go to far of track, but I found some fantastic burgers in Aldi over Xmas and they had sesame buns!
I love how a match-day blubberfest can morph into a thread about long lost butchers, Indian takeaways and the merits of beef burgers and the buns we wrap them in - this is why we're the best forum on Not606!
Quorn burgers aren't quite the same, but add some onions and some chilli relish and they're passable...
Be careful if you go there, it's a regular haunt of steverico, you'll hear him well before you see him. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
Fairly sure it was (now gone) on the shops nearly opposite the statue of James Stuart. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
