Dexter- New Blood Origin story of everybody's favourite nice serial killer. Excellent casting it has to be said and Christian Slater is great as daddy Harry. 8/10 On Call LAPD Blues for the digital generation. Fast paced Cop drama in 30 minute bites. Have done a few and they have been pretty good. 8/10
Ac ventura pet detective. Holds up pretty well i thought. Still enjoyed it. 7/10 Ace venture when nature calls. I used to love this when i was younger but it really is a shabby sequel. 5/10
there are a few good tv series agreed usually a gritty type drama, But the bulk of tv is reality ****e. Terrible game shows, celebrity versions of terrible game shows. There is virtually nothing funny on tv anymore. Can you name the last good comedy show on tv? It’s all diabolical. the ****e far outweighs the good. watched that film number 24 on Netflix. Watched it with subtitles on. Was very good. 8/10: series 2 Silo is finally getting better. new series of silent witness is annoying. Becoming more woke. Said to the wife when they were looking to employ a crime scene assistant it would be a female midget and it was. Albeit I said a lesbian midget. Nearly right.
Brassic is probably one of the funniest shows ever made. You should check it out. You seem to be needing a wee bit cheering up. I don't know what channels you watch, reality TV by the sounds of it. Dave probably. There is and has been a multitude of excellent series over the last decade or 2. There has also been a massive rise in available outlets that let you view TV shows which has brought us Brilliant shows. Of course the other side of that increase in volume is that shìt TV has also increased. That's only common sense. The trick I use is, don't watch shìt reality shows or god awful game shows. Hope this helps.
I tend to watch Mortimer and whitehouse gone fishing if I need cheering up. isn’t brassic just a rip off of shameless?
American Primeval - same guy who directed The Revenant - backdrop of real events... very gritty ... limited series - give it an 8
Got that on the watchlist, trailer looked decent. Half way through Landman, then gonna do series 2 of Rogue Heroes and then bung that on.
Watched Longlegs on Prime last night ... weird film ...seemingly more concerned with peripheral imagery than plot and content ... but quite scary at times, for all that ...6.5
Landman - 8.7 Quality. Had a feeling I would like it seeing as it’s written by Taylor Sheridan, I’m practically this guy’s groupie ffs. It’s basically Yellowstone but about the Texas oil industry instead of Montana ranching. Billy Bob Thornton was made for the lead role and just like all other Sheridan shows I’ve seen, the rest of the casting is done to perfection. Good acting, solid story, always good amounts of sarcasm from Thornton, look forward to hopefully more seasons.
It has nothing to do with the guy who directed The Revenant but that has no relationship to the quality of the issue. Fantastic content. 8/10
My bad ... was 'created' by the same screenwriter as The Revenant - Mark L Smith... knew I had seen a 'connection' ...
