That's the reason I never post straight after a game, reasonable thinking goes out the window. We are ****, not good enough, never get promoted are thoughts that spring to mind straight away. Then get up the next morning and realise its just a minor blip and we are doing extremely well. KLD had a plan the many ridiculed, but it's been spot on. I said at the time the Michael Beale appointment and then writing off the season may have been a blessing. I also always believed we would start and spend 7-10 million on players we believed would help us to promotion while also increasing their sell on value. I was told that was ridiculous as we had an owner that would only buy teenagers for 1 million and the cash in on them later. Seems strange these posters have now lost their voice. We have a starting 11 that is probably worth 100 million+ and we are actually trying to keep them for now. So many times people mocked THE MODEL, strange it seems spot on to me. Or was it because we had a billionaire owner and these small minded people wanted INSTANT success
He's low risk versus a foreign lad at this stage of the season as well. If we signed him today he'd be ready to start Friday if needed. January for me is about bringing in players to make an immediate impact and influence the season. Any long term buys make so much more sense in the summer, unless somebody you've wanted for ages suddenly becomes available.
I don't think he's necessarily become available though. Westerlo are in a crap position and need to keep their striker. Feels more likely one that would happen in the summer than us pay an over inflated fee for him now.
I know he's crap now but this is a piss poor way for a club captain to leave a club that's basically made his career. He's apparently refusing to be selected so he can get his money move. The captain ffs.
From what we hear we have went for a loan to buy with him. He's also scoring this season, he's 6ft 1 so quite similar to Isidor, Might be good to get someone like Frigan who isn't going to kick Isidor out of the team but give him some good competition. All I have wanted from the get go tbf is someone who is the style RLB wants but has scored some goals at senior level. It's a tricky one for sure
He wants to leave Southampton as he hasn't been been starting and is also out of the Chilean national team (who are woeful at the minute) Sheff United are favourites to sign him according to Chilean press.
Half of them penalties, which Wilson doesn't take, and 4 in one game. Gilding the lily a bit there fella.
It's not my money but I'd be happy with say £8m +£2m based on clauses. I think he'd score shed loads in our team tbh. That £10m could be worth £100m in May.
Get in there. All that time spent on DuoLingo learning Spanish was worth it. Reading is far easier than listening or speaking, mind.
Being peddled from a PL team kicking around the bottom of the table after 2 goals in 13 in the Championship, with a 1 in 3 at, basically his level, hardly screams PL ready to me.
