I witnessed MADSEN looking over his shoulder as a Leicester player made a move to run past him, MADSEN started to track him for a couple of yards and then just stopped like he either couldn't be arsed or just didn't care. We don't want or need players like that.
I’m fairly sure Cifuentes doesn’t fancy him and he’ll slip further down the pecking order off the back of this but we’ll inevitably have injuries to the current midfield three at some point. Colback will break down inevitably at some point. I don’t rate EDB whatsoever and neither does the manager it seems so he’s going to play eventually. We had some promising kids in midfield a year or two ago according to those in the know. Aoroha is meant to be quite good and he’s just gone out on loan.
It will never happen but MADSEN should be sent out on loan to a league 1 or 2 club. Some of the youngsters must be looking at him and thinking what we all think (apart from strolls)
He wouldn’t be the first player to start slowly (very, very slowly) and for it to eventually click. Can’t really see that happening by shipping him off to Morecambe or Port Vale. It’ll happen on the training ground if it does at all.
I was more meaning so we don't ever have to select the **** but the bloke needs an eye opener. His work rate is pathetic
Just to add some context to this, according to opta stats Madsen completed 26 passes, 2 crosses and made 0 tackles yesterday..... As Didley would say, Marvellous that......
Clive's report ... A mist opportunity as Foxes hit QPR for six – Report - Queens Park Rangers News | Loft For Words
Clive will be on Strollers **** list... Nicholas Madsen was an empty shirt. A 6ft 4ins tall supposedly creative, supposedly ball playing, supposedly attacking midfielder who finished with zero shots, zero offsides, 0.01 expected assists, zero key passes, two passes into the final third, 33 touches in 96 minutes, two interceptions, one clearance and seven losses of possession. Playing with Madsen is like playing with ten men, but we knew that before we started. The Dane was left on for the full game, posting similar numbers to the ones I contributed from the back of the stand.
To freshen things up a bit from MADSEN chat, Edwards was pretty terrible. More excusable being on debut and trying to cover for Ashby but still. The point Clive makes is a fair one with the defence. We look awfully fragile once enough are out and Dunne needs to be protected. Edwards does come with good reviews but he must be a bit rusty. JCS will more likely than not break down again.
Yeah, Clive lays in to Ashby as well, though it won't be every week he faces players of the standard he was against on Saturday. That's the same Leicester team that got 97 points in the Championship last season, beefed up with some PL quality signings. I'm not that disappointed in the result, just the second half performance. We had them against the ropes for a good spell in the first half, and our second just before half time should've had us come storming out of the blocks at the start of the second, only for Ashby to give away an early penalty. We never really looked like coming back after that.
He’s ****e. Gets away with it more than he deserves at our level but he’s not good enough to be taking players on in his own half as last man. Probably looks great in a half-paced youth game which is where he’s spent too much of his career rather than being bollocked by a third division journeyman centre-half who needs a clean sheet bonus to pay the mortgage. Same as EDB. Both pissed away their most important years to ponce about in academies.
What’s frustrating is that it took so long to get rid of the ghost Dozzell and now we’ve got another one.
