Good for us and him

 

Pessimist head on here, he’s not getting minutes think this is us just doing right by him, don’t necessarily think we have someone lined up immediately but do think he will be replaced this window

 

I think he was always going to go and we would have kept him had we not got a replacement

hadn’t RLB said similar about rusyn ?

 

I’d definitely prefer you were right than me haha, is odd timing with the cannon news like, replacing rusyn and Connolly with cannon would be very good business

 

Must have a replacement coming in sure northern echo reported that we would only let players go if we got replacement in 1st

 

Disappointed it didn't work out for Connolly as I really wanted him to succeed here. Hope he does well at Milwall.

 

This- really wanted him to kick on. Hope bags loads against our top six competition!

 

That said, its as exciting as **** that we've been willing to let him go. Why now? Lets see...

 

With Rusyn likely to go we only have Wilson as a senior striker really although Mayenda can certainly fill in and lead the line.

 

Connolly was 100% worth the risk, and makes sense that we let him go

Does feel we must have something lined up tho as he was still on the bench recently so can't see us letting him go if we aren't close to anything

 

The timing does feel perfect. Probably just my transfer window delusion though

The young lad who broke through at Brighton looked a cracking player. I was keen to see him here. He opened up about his challenges which is credit to him. Like all players I suspect he wants and needs to play games. I hope he cracks it at Millwall and we have played a small part in him getting back on track.

 

No smoke without fire etc etc

Doesn't mean its Cannon though. But let's see.

Aye second this, the calibre of player we seem to be targeting this window looks like it has went up a whole other level, the pessimist in me says it’s just coincidence RE Cannon but I am excited to see who we target

 

FWIW I really like Cannon and his movement

 

Stoke fans starting to worry that Cannon will be recalled

 

Yeh I'd be very happy with him. Proven to score in this division is a big tick and having good movement is going to be an imperative if we get promoted, so no reason to think he can't be a decent option off the bench in the premier league.

Loan with obligation, our favourite three words, could be a go'er.

All that said. I'm not sure why Leicester wouldn't want to keep him on their books for a potential championship campaign next season. Same with Southampton and BBD.
