Probably be some constraint on the wage budget with the lunacy wages we pay Targett and Kelly (reportedly over £1million per month on those two combined), but hopefully we finish in a CL position this season, stretch the wage budget further and manage to convince Isak to sign a long term deal.

Then it'll be something like Dibling in RW £30m, Guehi in CB £40m, Trafford in GK £25m, Dewsbury-Hall in CM £30m, Calvert-Lewin in ST £0m.

 

Im more hoping we actually strengthen the team than give free money to other clubs for their own versions of Longstaff.

Whilst I agree that we could do better than most of those and should look everywhere for the best quality players available, not just domestic leagues, every player on that list is considerably better or of higher potential than our replaceables of Longstaff, Almiron etc.

 

Good draw for us. Lots of all prem games as well so we will see a good few bigger names going out.

 

Just out of curiosity I looked up the team we played in our 3rd round game vs Cambridge in Jan 22. Five players in our starting line up today were in that team, with Tripps being the best of them.

 

Bromley where peak opposition and they conducted themselves impeccably.

We should try to connect with clubs like them and send players on loan.

Their fans where brilliant.

 

Sanusi looked like a schoolboy who had won a competition to play.

I’ve seen him a couple of times for the U21’s, usually much better that that.

 

Struggled with the occasion, for sure - however Almiron looks like a grown man who's won a competition to play. So, again, I know who I'd rather see more of.

 

I think he needs to change his boot supplier and get bigger studs (cue Chippy comment about studs )
