I thought he was an attacking midfielder ? Presume I’m getting mixed up.

 

He is. Can play left back, wing back, winger or AM.

he’s probably best in the 10 or off the right.

but he played left back and left wing back last season for Bristol rovers and did alright

Doesn't really sound like someone you'd trust defensively at LB. Can't think of many players who play attacking midfield or on the wing who also make solid fullbacks.

I'd be looking at some experienced short term cover at fullback personally, along the lines of Reveillere.

If we do go for Cannon - any thoughts on if it would be a permanent deal rather than a loan?

 

I think it would be a loan with an option to make it permanent

 

He'll be saleable, if it doesn't work out, so may as well be permanent imo.
