But let’s face it Rushworth is sticking about because we’ve assured Brighton he will play

Enough that it should be spent elsewhere on more pressing issues, we have a very talented GK who's ours who has been ( arguably ) player of the season so far, any talk of dropping him unless his form drops considerably, is stupid

 

He started more counter attacks in one game than Pandur has all season. He was always looking for the quick out, and finding teammates in space. Pandur just stands there until everyone has retreated then plays a 10 yard horizontal pass to Jones or Macca.

 

I agree with you. The handling of the goalkeeper position has been really poor

 

Probably out the door. Which is a shame as I think he’s a good keeper as well

 

I agree with you Howden for what it’s worth but given the talk of Rushworth being recalled we’ve surely told Brighton he’s going to start at least in the short term.

 

Rushworth should never have been signed. Good keeper but for his sake and ours, it was the wrong move. Pandur has been one of the best players for us this season and Racioppi I think would’ve settled as number 2 on the bench ready to step in but not number 3. It was a waste of a loan fee, loan spot and wages. Now Racioppi is on his way out and Rushworth goes back to Brighton in the summer.

 

especially considering we opted for him over Doak

 

The rushworth thing has been done to death

If selles thinks he should start then im on board

Or if pandur stays in then im on board

Whoever plays keeper is not the pressing matter anyway

We spent 15m odd on 3 wingers

 

And the cycle starts again next season when Rushworth returns and we need to find another number 2... it's yet another thing that shows we're completely directionless.

 

Pandur was poor against Leeds. He's the victim of terrible timing in that regard.
