I'll take that back about Vinicius offering a decent threat in the air. Watched a few videos and the vast majority are of finishes with his feet. There was one video (below) of his games at Fulham and highlighted that his hold up play isn't all that impressive. Not much evidence of heading prowess either, though it's not Fulham's style to pump crosses in.

This feels highly likely. Got to feel the BBD link to us either agent play to put pressure on Sheff Utd, or PR spin for when Sheff Utd sign him, or both

If BBD has said he doesn’t want to go anywhere except Sheffield United then we should forget him.

If he doesn’t want to come here it would be a bad move for all concerned. Think Grigg then think Isidor who loves it here.

There will be loads of strikers unknown to us (like Le Fee was) who would probably jump at the chance of joining us. In France alone there must be many, a bit like Mendy, who would want to be here so leave BBD out of it (unless he comes out and says he’d really want to come to us)

Maybe it’s a bit like Amad who probably wouldn’t want to play in any other Championship team than us (until Man U realised what a gem they had and now we have no chance)

By the way, The Rashford ‘too old’ comment by me earlier was obviously supposed to be a fun comment.

Completely agree with you about BBD. If he doesn't want to come then I'd be looking elsewhere.

Tin hat on but I'm not sold on Cannon or Barry mind. We definitely need further strengthening up front, RW and full back positions. It's a major concern that we have only Hume and Cirkin fit and Cirkin is prone to missing a lot of games.

09 can cover both FB positions at a push but not sure if Ballard is back for Burnley.

Surely he doesn't go to the MLS? Lot of money over there but he could get a PL move if he wanted.

This would be massive for Boro by the way, they normally reinvest and they’ve already got Conway who’s a better all round striker. They’ve got no problems scoring goals so if they reinforce at the back they could push on second half of the season and be in good shape for play offs

Bang on mate. Gibson usually backs the manager, think it’ll be no different this window

I still believe Boro have a cracking squad at this level, especially in forward areas

I agree mate. It’s strange isn’t it because when you speak to rival fans a lot of the time they’d argue they wouldn’t swap player X from their team from player Y from ours even though we’re doing better. I’d defo have Doak on the right and Azaz though. Azaz has been the best attacking midfielder in the league this season by far, his numbers are ridiculous. Personally I still stand by my opinion on Jobe having everything in his locker to be our 6. I know Dan Neil has been playing very well last 8-10 games but he’s still not signed the contract and if we were to lose a midfielder this month I’d make a case for it to be him. I think Jobe could move into that position and make it his own no problem. Imagine a combined midfield of Jobe, ELF, Azaz, Doak and Mundle..

First bit sounds like BBD doesn't it?

Agree with him on the second part as well. Can't rely on Connolly or Rusyn if we get an injury in the forward area.

Régis Le Bris has confirmed that Sunderland are targeting a 'versatile' forward player as their next key target in the January transfer window.

The Black Cats have started their business with an ambitious loan deal for Enzo Le Fée, who has joined initially on loan until the end of the season. Le Bris has been clear for some time that the club will be targeting a small number of high-quality additions, and so extensive business is now highly unlikely between now and the end of the month.

Top of the list is a forward player capable of playing a number of positions in the Sunderland frontline. With Romaine Mundle and Tommy Watson both sidelined for a few weeks more due to injury, the Black Cats would like cover in that position. However, they would also like a player who can offer cover and competition for Wilson Isidor through the middle and Patrick Roberts on the right, with Ian Poveda currently injured having made only a handful of substitute appearances since his arrival last summer.

Screams BBD but he only wants Sheff Utd

The amount of other club fans saying “is this Le Fee any good” then saying he’s ahite when our fans say we don’t know! Amazing how they do
Despite never having seen him play! Boro fans Particularly

Very few players at our level can operate across the front line which is what we seem to want so I'm very interested to see who we bring in.

Must admit my ears pricked up when he specifically name-checked him as a threat in the press conference. The ‘and they have other threats as well’ felt tacked on too.
