He did. Played very well for large parts of the game. Kept cannon quiet and won lots of headers. However, the errors he is making are significant and costly. Unfortunately, it's been most weeks over the Christmas period.
Johansson goes down with a leg injury In every game I have watched him play ,after lengthy treatment resumes with no discernible after effects. Meanwhile, the players all rush over to the sidelines were the coaches appear to be working harder than the physios on the pitch. Just a thought.
I don’t have the stats but my guess is that Onion probably is involved the most in our defence, the most touches, tackles, headers and the like. If that is so it’s not surprising that sometimes he makes a mistake. If he avoided tackles and just made safe sideways passes all the time he probably wouldn’t make these mistakes. It’s because he’s in the thick of it just about all the time and involved in most of what’s going on that there’s the occasional error. Don’t forget all the good bits which far outweigh his odd lapses. For me he’s still the first name on the sheet. (and he saves dogs)
Quite enjoyed watching without the pressure, thought we were the better team tbf just not clinical enough. Thought hjelde looked decent centre half
I noticed that in the previous game. I was probably doing something else when he did it in the latest one though. It’s clearly a tactic employed by the coaching staff.
Not arsed about losing at all really, what I am pleased about is the young boys who've worked there arses off to get a shot at the first team and I don't think any of them have let themselves down. Future is very bright
I will and said so, in fact everyone I've seen post has said he's had a bad period ... ... but not Always
Yes he had a really good game, as did the four U21 players Jones , Johnston, Alecsic, & Trey and the much awaited debut of Samed did not disappoint , apart from his one error which unfortunately led to their winner , which in retrospect might turn out to be a blessing.
