If there had to be a single game that had sewn doubts about Rosenior, then it has to be the one against Doncaster in the Cup. Therefore, it will be interesting to see how they get on today. I'm looking forward to seeing whether they will play with the intensity that Selles demands.
Our home record has been that awful , I really hope we take this game seriously and look to win it with as minimum fuss as possible . We need to get in the habit of winning home games and this presents a great opportunity
We’re currently Doncaster’s bitch. We’ve only beaten them twice in the last 10 games stretching back 20 years. Every time we’ve met in a cup tie in the last 30 years they’ve beaten us.
I remember the FL Cup tie at their old ground in the mid 70's. We had thousands there that night and they beat us 2-1. They went onto play Spurs in the next round and got thumped 7-1. Also remember us beating them in the FA Cup at this stage at BP, Billy Bremner was their manager, and we won 1-0, Nick Deacy scored for us, and to be fair Donny battered us that day. Today is the first home FA Cup home game involving City I have missed since1964 due to a back problem which prevents me getting out.
Gunna bet city....but waiting for team news...any in the knows know whether we are fielding a strong team?
Surprised Pedro is being risked, and thought Slater deserved a breather. Thought Burstow was worth a look at the top of the pitch.
Some attendance record that! I was at Belle Vue that night, 1975. Remember an Alf Wood diving header. May have been disallowed? Long time ago. Can remember police and St John's being extremely busy.
