Either were in or were not. If no interest then play as many reserves as possible. Lets not go for it with a half/half team and then when we lose say we werent interested. I hope the boys are disappointed otherwise why charge fans for tickets.
I'd say at least 70% of teams playing in the cup this weekend have made at least 4 changes to their usual lineup. Look at the attendances across the 3rd round, fans know that they will be watching 2nd string lineups and half arsed attempts at winning and are voting with their feet. Thats the sad state of the FA Cup now.
I have to be honest, that was much better than I expected and only disappointment was the result. We've gifted them their goals but dominated most of second half onwards. Thought the young lads did great, hjelde was really impressive and anouche was as good as I've seen him and continues to improve. Yeah a loss is never great but it happens.
Well that was cold. Thoughts Manager will have learned a lot Our fringe players are miles better than stokes. Played well in spells second half Really need to work out how to take our chances could have had a hatful No idea why he took off Hjelde and played Neil centre back probably lost us the game. Shame but not too concerned back to the league
pleased i never started to get excited about a cup run, very much a 'meh' game and that was pretty much shown by the small crowd and lack of 'fire' in the lads. the one thing that i hope will get sorted are the defensive errors that have crept into our game, i am one of those people that is much happier with a 'hoof into row Z' rather than tappy lappy around the box, they can't score with the ball at the top of the stand. that said, good to see some lads getting some minutes, first goal for milan, couple of young lads getting some first team action and samed getting a run out... get them all a rest and back to the league.
For my 2 cents… if I was a young player in that team.. I wouldn’t want anything to get in the way of the league… it’s all that matters. The worst thing for me today was the injury to Alese…injured in a match that really doesn’t matter and it wasn’t due to contact… that’s terrible luck. But let’s see how it has effected the team next Friday, when we get out regular's back… I doubt today will effect them at all. Plus points for me was Zack Johnson looked solid and Auchiche looked unplayable at times.
Thought we were okay. thought Stoke were poor, especially with their first 11 on the pitch two very sloppy goals aside performance was fine, but decision making in the final third cost us Not bothered
I can see a time where clubs in domestic cup competitions can opt out… especially in the League cup… maybe not soon, but I can see it happening
Wouldn’t be surprised to see the League Cup done away with soon. France have done it. Think it would increase the prestige of the FA Cup again.
Stoke were ****e today bearing in mind that was their first 11, that's 2 games we were the better team and they've got late goals to win it. If we start to put our chances away then those 2 games we go unbeaten. I'm not disappointed in the result I'm more than happy we got minutes in legs of lads that are pushing for game time. Regis would've learnt a lot about everyone on show today
I don’t agree, it’s another ‘IF’ Imagine IF Leeds had a decent GK? They’d be 10 points clear of us It’s all ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’
Just home from the game Couldn’t care less that we’re out but we didn’t need or want extra time Concerns me how many games we draw and struggle to break down poor sides Hopefully Le Fee adds something different going forward as we’re really predictable at times A positive - we’ll be playing in the league when Burnley and probably Leeds are in 4th round action. I’d much rather our rivals are playing catch up
Agreed. Not even close. Pointless even having Rusyn if Connolly is just ratting about, having no impact. Get rid of both and bring 1 in, who is able to impact the game.
Fair play to those who turned up. It was absolutely freezing, coldest I’ve been at the SoL for a very long time
