Alright, delete the word “conservative”, it’s just because they have been the most prominent in the last decade. It’s relevant because it’s a public apology, and my point was it was a good apology, by contrast to a lot of the standard public apologies (or refusals to apologise). Getting unnecessarily wound up about which comparison I’m using is missing the point massively.
I don’t follow the PL too closely, so I find it amazing to look at a somewhat second string Brighton line-up and see just one player (Georginio, albeit he is not part of the second string) costing nearly as much as our entire squad, and combined with another player (eg Minteh) worth more than our entire non-loan squad. Brighton’s rise has been quite incredible. Their squad is eighth most valuable in the PL according to transfermarkt - above Aston Villa
Rested hopefully, he was feeling tired in the festive period after joining us without having a real pre-season
I’m suprised not to see any CMs from the youth team as an option and a free hit to see if they could help the first team
