As the title says you have one choice, day out at wembley etc and win a major trophy the FA cup. Or, get promoted to the premier league with it's vast riches and VAR. No ifs no buts, cup or promotion? A one word answer will suffice.
Would love to win the FACup but for the future of the club, this season it would have to be promotion, don't go up this season and the club is ****ed.
I don’t think it’s even a question. Unless you mean which would be the most fun. unfortunately we have to be in the Prem, even allowing for all the awfulness it represents
FA cup would be amazing. We support our team to win things. Imagine winning the fa Cup this year. That is the thing we would talk about in fifty years. If we were promoted and had a miserable time in the Premier league that would just fade into obscurity like the majority of years we spend following our club. But winning the fa Cup.... that stays with you.
Winning the FA Cup would partially right the wrong of Sunderland back in the day. If we could do that, get entry to whichever Euro trophy next season, keep the main players another year to then get promoted, I’d have some of that.
What if we go up as champions? Then we’ve been promoted and won something. Bielsa is still revered for managing that.
FA Cup for me for purely selfish reasons. I've seen and remember us winning the league , I've seen and remember us being promoted as Champions twice. Whilst I have probably seen us win a cup I have no memory of it
FA cup….. Wembley…us? Track record says no. Promotion is going to be the best glory route, but after that we get hammered week in week out with this team and manager.
To me not the same. We've won promotion from this league, and others, a few times in my lifetime. None are as important as a proper trophy. The Bielsa one was slightly different because of the amount of time we waited for it but it is still not equivalent to an fa cup win.
F**k the cup, do what we managed to do in the EFL cup and lose the first tie 0-3. Brilliant strategy from Farke that. Play the U-21's and if we win, play them again in the 4th round, and so on.
Fa cup for me. That can never be taken away from you once it’s won. Promotion on the other hand is merely a temporary visit to an awful league
F.a. cup for me ... let's be honest our tally of 1 is a disgrace albeit that we should have beaten Chelsea in 70 and but for Montgomery in 73 would probably have won that too....also the thought of var again isn't a prospect I'm relishing it's a bag of s#@t that's ruined football...i.m.o.
FA Cup We get promoted, we get off to a poor start as it’s only the fans that realise Farke isn’t good enough, we go on a managerial merry go round, get relegated and the vicious circle starts again
