@DougieCritchley Sunderland have managed to loan a player who has cost Rennes and Roma a combined £35.8m in the last 2 summers… Sunderland have spent £25.4m since being relegated from the Premier League in 2017. This is crazy… Welcome to Sunderland Enzo Le Fee!
He’s their best player, no surprise really. I said this on RTG, but I can’t believe Ten Haag didn’t use him more often.
Beauty of Le Bris is that the clubs way of operating seems to perfectly align to his ethos. Think that’s why it has worked so well thus far. Club and manager both want to give players opportunities and find solutions within.
Like our players, it's nice that other teams would be interested in our manager. It means we are on the right path.
Great problem to have to be honest, he looks like an elite manager to me and it feels like his and the clubs ideas on football and player development fit very well together, I think he'll be with us for at least another season after this one because he strikes me as someone who is more motivated by the challenge and being unimpeded in implementing his philosophy rather that moving up a few places on the ladder and getting a few more quid. If a top club comes in, fair enough, but he isn't making a sideways or marginally upwards move unless the club plan is more of a fit than we are.
It’ll be the same scenario as our top young players in my opinion. Get promoted and there’s no need to be anywhere else.
