I heard that the teams plane was diverted to Birmingham as well so they were all up half the night last night to get home So no training today.
Young kid Rio that signed from Chelsea may get game time if fit. Was on the bench in previous LC games.
If any of the regular first team players even get near this game, I’d be shocked. Give them a break or everything else will fall around our ears.
It's too late for that. I'd take a draw midweek and hope thst better weather helps them free up a bit. We just have to struggle through and hope we don't conpelte lose the lead in the league now. We cannot dismiss two really tired lifeless displays in a row. We have to see it for what it is. The other clubs have had slumps and we have been relatively consistent so got a lead but now it's our turn. How short it is is unknown
to be fair, Chelsea and Arsenal have been dropping points too. Only Newcastle and Forest are really in form……and it’s no coincidence that they’re not in Europe. City have two on the bounce but I’m not convinced that they’re properly back yet.
Too much emphasis is put on this resting players business, imo. We had a full week's rest before the Man U game and that didn't do much good. It's not a one-off either, we frequently put in lacklustre performances after a break. I'm not denying the effects of fatigue over the course of a season, but I think the situation is more complex than simply resting players. Players need to be kept up to speed for a match, without burning them out, and that's a delicate balance. Just saying give 'em a rest is too simplistic and doesn't always work.
You are right but the damage is now done so needs to be undone somehow. And a few days off making it a week between games is no harm imo. The next 5 league games will define our season. All are winnable imo but only if we play very well
MDMA? Or Cocaine? I think Klopp was more a fan of giving them the former- and Slot more a fan of the latter.
